Help! My rp partner hasn't invited me to play our OTP in their game! (´･ω･`)
Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not post personal information. This includes but is not limited to full names, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

(Anonymous) 2021-08-16 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)I've stopped rping for a few months and I feel so much better. it's put into perspective how many bad mental pitfalls I'd fallen into with rp (feeling obligated to tag ppl I found boring just bc they were polite and weren't wankers, constantly catering to what other people wanted, getting iced out of segments of the canons I played from when I tried reaching out to castmates, not clicking with commonly-assumed fanon that other castmates would approach me with but still feeling obligated to give strangers what I assumed they wanted, thinking I needed 20+ threads at a time to avoid accusations of being insular, etc).
Some of it was my own poor mental health, some of it was anons, but all of it was affecting me irl and in my hobby and wasn't good for me. I'm the happiest I've been in years now that i don't rp anymore. I'm hoping to slowly ease back into it with a handful of trusted friends for PSLs, and that's it for now. And I'm really glad I did that.
To anyone else struggling with big issues in rp...taking a break really can help! And maybe you'll want to come back full throttle bc you still click with the hobby, which is great! For me I don't anymore, and that's also fine.
In rp woes bc "I'm way happier with rp out of my life" still seems like it ought to go here. Posting here bc i can't really tell my entire Plurk friend list that I'm so much happier not tagging them, but I wanted to get this off my chest somewhere.
