These are the words whispered in your head as you wake up to unfamiliar surroundings. If they don't stick, never fear — they're also inscribed on a stone at the base of the crumbling fountain in the town square. What town square, you ask? Well, perhaps you haven't fully noticed yet. Take a look around. This isn't your home. Welcome to Isla Empieza, a port town in this pirate inhabited world you're going to be living in for awhile. It probably doesn't look like much, with its old cobblestone roads and weather-beaten buildings, but it does have a harbor with plenty of ships. The locals here will set you up with one, or at least help you get a room at the inn, but beyond that you'll find they keep to themselves. That should suit you fine, because you probably won't be staying in this town for too long. You haven't forgotten the poem, right? Read it again. Think it over. The famed gem in question was once called the Piedra Roja, and having it in your possession is the only way you're going to be able to get back home. So get a ship, find a crew, and take to the seas. There is endless ocean to sail, countless islands to explore, and a myriad of adventures to be had. The shards of the Piedra Roja could be anywhere, after all. Finding them won't be so easy. And remember... You aren't the only one looking for them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ High Seas is a panfandom RPG that is a one part mod-controlled events (treasure hunts! sea beast attacks! a ticked off Naval force!), a couple parts slice of life (on a ship!), and many, many parts create your own adventure! In this mythical pirate world, the only preexisting city is Isla Empieza. Once you set sail from the island it's located on, the world is your oyster! Where your ship goes, the islands it discovers, all of this is up to you. You have total control over the types of places you want your character to visit. As for why you're here, well, it seems Davy Jones is up to his old tricks. He's always looking for more unsuspecting sailors to drag down to his locker. You can blame him for pulling you into his chaotic world, and whatever curses befall this place? Those are also his fault. So off you go! Happy Sailing! (Oh, and watch out for the other pirates.)

HxH cast looking for castmates in Tanagura!

Do you play from HxH? Have you always wanted to play from HxH? Do you like futuristic dystopian societies, rebellions, and the occasional smut?

If you answered yes to at least two of these questions, the Hunter x Hunter cast at Tanagura would love to welcome you! (Most of us don't bite, but I can't make any promises about Hisoka.) Reserves are open and a new Test Drive meme will be happening at the beginning of April.

With the newest promo art thing out for Digimon Adventure Tri, I am incredibly hype and desperate want to RP some kinda Digimon PSL with someone!

I have a few characters I play, for Adventure/02 I play Miyako, and on rare occasion, I sometimes play Iori. although if we're gonna play in Adventureverse I'd mostly love for a Sora, Hikari, or Mimi to play against my Miyako. But if you want to help voicetest my very rusty Iori, I frequently liked playing him against Takeru, Koushiro, and occasionally Ken or Daisuke.

If you aren't as hype for Tri as I am, I'm game for playing in other continuities, too. for Tamers, I've played Takato sometimes, but the big muse for Tamers I'd love to voicetest is Kenta. I'd love to play either my Takato or Kenta against a Jenrya, and for Kenta specifically a Hirokazu would be fantastic. (I just love those two dorks so much.)

I can be possibly talked into any other continuities not named Xros Wars. Pretty much the only Frontier character I ever RPed was Tomoki/Tommy, and I'd only really like to play aginst a Takuya, and Savers... ehh, I played Ikuto a few very rare times.

DISNEY VILLAINS VICTORIOUS

Maybe on a bit of a Disney kick right now because of the end of the current Dangan Roleplay round, but I'd love to run a DWRP-friendly adaption of Disney Villains Victorious. (i.e. no statblocks or anything)

Basic gist of the game is that it takes place in a combined-Disney AU where all the villains won in their respective movies. While I could see it being slice-of-life at points, I do imagine the main goal being to actually overthrow these villains. Therefore, it'd be pretty quest-driven, with pretty much all of the NPCs being established Disney Villains/their henchmen.

People would play as AU Disney characters that survived within reason - Aladdin and Flynn Rider could have hypothetically survived, but it seems unlikely that Peter Pan would be alive. Also available would be the options of slightly more heroic/less power-hungry Disney Villains (Gaston, Edgar) and OCs.

Also yeah, I imagine that the majority of the villains would be mod-controlled NPCs. More just the big baddies like Jafar, Frollo and Maleficent, who would control their own countries in such a scenario. I could probably cut it down to like 10 Villain NPCs max then expand as needed, if people really wanted to play the Disney Villains, but it's also a matter of trying to create something of a nobledark/dystopian Disney setting.

The playable ones would likely end up as Disney villains who don't have major holdings/are saints compared to others. Gaston totally has things he could be doing in this world, but what exactly he's doing could be to player discretion if they wanted to create their own post-victory path for him.

To sum it up, canon villains without major holdings would definitely be playable. If we assume that maybe Frozen's bad ending is Elsa freezing over everything, Hans could totally be playable. But if it's decided that the bad ending should be 'Hans takes over the place', then he'd probably be an NPC.

Might actually make it panfandom too, but I'd still want to keep the Disney feel. Thoughts?

Alayne Stone | ASOIAF & GOT

I want to play Alayne, but I feel that show!Alayne and book!Alayne are slightly different characters at this point. Namely, show Alayne feels like she has a lot more agency than book Alayne. For example, in the show even Littlefinger doesn't know what she's going to do before they talk to the lords of the Vale, yet in the book she's still completely Littlefinger's pawn and hasn't made any moves for herself yet. Also show Alayne is probably late teens while book Alayne is thirteen.

When I played from ASoIaF a few years ago I just did some fusion of the books and show, but since then the books and show have diverged on characterization for some of the characters. I'm worried that if I play Alayne with more agency, it'll be seen as OOC. Though I could specify that she's primarily show. Thoughts?

1. a/b/o. self-lubrication, knotting, heavy on risk of pregnancy kink (though no actual playing out the pregnancy), heat cycles. i want to play the omega, m/m pref, but i don't play any characters who'd be really good for omega soooo maybe a drug inducing heat cycles in a beta or even alpha? (i don't know much about a/b/o-verse, to be honest... i'm a little ashamed but i want to play it, okay.)

2. heavy xenophilia. semi-sentient aliens (think xenomorph from alien) violently fucking a human. would probably be dubcon or noncon. i can play either role.

High Seas has slowed down a lot, it's pretty manageable for people who need a slow game.

Completely IC Manipulation?

Are there any examples of someone RPing out an elaborate scheme where a character was able to ICly manipulate another character(s) into doing something but the other player(s) didn't even realize what manipulative!character was up to until it was all done? Like I'd love to see a chessmaster character maneuver another character into a corner, all completely ICly and without any OOC arrangements beforehand.

i don't think that would ever work without OOC communication. not only because the buttfury would be seen from space after it was all said and done (and... maybe rightly so? i'm not sure if this is cool or fucked up, since it's manipulation on an OOC level too) but because nobody ever does anything in RP without extensive plotting and nobody is smart enough to pull it off.
