rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

lol this. you are not entitled to a username. nobody 'stole' it because it was never yours in the first place. get over yourself.

pardon my phrasing. let me amend that to 'hoard'. they hoarded hundreds and hundreds of usernames (no, it wasn't just one person. there was a mass of people that jumped here from lj and decided to be greedy and hoard a shitload of usernames that they had no intention of doing anything with)

you and above anon know what i meant. you're both just choosing to be pedantic over the wording.

no, we're not entitled to a username. but if you're actually condoning someone intentionally taking HUNDREDS of names to sit on with no intention of use, i'm going to call you one of the hoarders, because i can't see how anyone would feasibly condone this.

its okay baby you can cope without your shitty one word usernames that have nothing to do with your character it's not the end of the world

if you think it's limited to just pretentious one word usernames, you haven't been looking for something character specific and gotten frustrated to shit when eight of your attempts come back with a squatted account - most of them with multiple word names that are actually pretty char specific and were obvs made just to be sat on.

all of my active accounts on lj had been made by the time i finally got around to moving to dw, a few people i knew (and games, too) had this problem

they were all pretty unique 2-3 word usernames that were character-specific but not canon-specific so i knew someone was just being a jerk
