Tribe of people that worship the Sun. One man is seeking to redeem them to the rest of the world because in the ancient lore, their hero and champion stole the goddess from her perch above the world and they eloped together, but this ruined magic for the rest of the world and the Sun tribe fell out of favor, had their capital city destroyed and now survive purely out of the mercy of the other five civilizations, but not as a recognized entity. Mostly they live on the Moon Empire's continent since their bond was stronger than with the other four. Otherwise they take up a nomadic existence or keep very very small settlements.

Unlike the other five; the Sun tribe still celebrates their hero mightily, even if it's with a great deal of shame and everyone wears hair accessories and clothing patterned after and in the same colors of their hero.

My guy has stolen the last relic the hero left before he vanished with the Goddess and is more or less attempting to become an equally great hero to restore their honor and let them be noticed again.

it isn't a report-worthy offense for a character to lie about their part in something, which is all this is right now. you're welcome to bring it to the mods yourself but until it's more than ic denial there's nothing actionable

Consistently having problems with a player is though. At least ask the mods to keep an eye on them

I'm an old-school POTO fan from way back in the day. But I find myself jonesing for some RP, either a Christine or Persian for my Erik or an Erik for my Persian.

Or some other combo, if you have an idea!

I'm primarily a Leroux/Kay/multi-canon Erik, but I won't reject other canons if we can agree on the CR! I'm also not a conventional Erik/Christine shipper (as in, I'm anti-"happily ever after" for them since he's a crazy stalker) but I'm open to figuring something out that works for both of us!

I had a couple castmates looking to try us out on the fourth wall, but I'm worried that they're intimidated by how huge and fast the log is going just a couple days in. Most of it just looks like one piece and tolkien bloat, but still

i really don't think the character is lying so much as it's the player trying to backpedal on dealing with ic consequences.

if it helps, there are far fewer players in the mix than there are toplevels. a lot of people brought more than one character to the event. if they're shy, you could try linking them to logs from past events? those would likely be a better representation of the game's usual pace. everyone's just going bananas over the fourth wall stuff.

you probably already know all this though. i hope your friends aren't put off from coming to the event! i imagine people will still be willing to backtag and take things slow as the initial hype dies down, too. i know i am.

Ugh I am so over Twilight/50 Shades hate. The sideyeing it deserves is nowhere near the level of extreme hate that it receives.

Take a look at yourself and really think about whether you're hating it because it's problematic, or you're hating it because it was popular to dogpile on at the time, and we're conditioned to hate anything that women/girls enjoy. That's what I did and it changed my whole perspective.

That depends on if you TDM her as one. The TDM assigns, too, but if you get to TDM her as a dom, then you can use it as a pass to dom by linking your threads in your app.

Meanwhile NGL, I would RP Christian as being one of those “on paper, he’s actually interesting as a character, now if only the writer was aware that he was that kind of character” cases.

I got fics I liked that I wrote there, but man I'm not gonna risk my computer to retrieve them.

I already got my prime egostroking as a writer (someone asked permission to use a minor OC of mine in their own fics) years ago, and that knowledge alone is enough, no need to save it.

Personally, I get people sticking up for Twilight, but 50 Shades’ bad first person writing is so blatantly grating enough that even that alone puts it firmly into “the only entertainment value in this book is making fun of it” territory for me.

When you hate on the film, you're attacking one of only two movies that were aimed at women that entire year. Think about it.

I think if people are going to judge you because they're too set in their ways to read your posts then that's their problem. If I saw a Christian/Ana doing cool stuff, I would think it's really cool and impressive.

don't do that. don't equate 'aimed at women' as being worthy of anything special. that's like calling any female who didn't vote for clinton a traitor to their gender.

just because it's 'aimed' at a demographic doesn't exempt it from being a shoddy piece of work.

Being one of two movies aimed at women makes it even WORSE, not better, because it's taking advantage of girls and women who don't have a whole lot of other options and pushing a narrative about how an unhealthy relationship is the ideal romance.

Sure, other movies and books do the exact same thing, but that makes them just as shit as Twilight.
