My girlfriend's pushing me to get a new computer, and she specifically wants liquid cooling. I've never used it before. Does anyone have any experience with liquid cooling in computers? Are they easy to refill? Do you have to refill them often?

you don't need liquid cooling unless you're hardcore gaming, and even then it's debatable

they're kind of a pain to set up imo, especially if you've never built a rig before, so i'd try and talk her out of it if i were you

neat physical props
proton beams looked neat
i’m a sucker for neon-90s-spook lighting
Leslie Jones actually put on a decent performance, was the most likeable Ghostbuster
Bill Murray didn’t give a shit in any scene he was in, you could tell he fucking hated being there
one chuckle outta me when a guy calls Chris Hemsworth’s character Clark Kent. more of a meta joke than straight humor
the neon ghost effects would be kinda charming…

Cons

…if those ghost effects were for a non-Ghostbusters movie
neon-90s-spook lighting was too harsh most of the time
soundtrack was way too dramatic
every Ghostbuster fell right into the character stereotype they look like

Melissa McCarthy is constantly complaining about food or some shit
Kate McKinnon just does bizarre shit at all times and is the one most obviously improvising most of the time
Kristen Wiig is just the Science Person
Leslie Jones yells a lot and says “oh hell no” a lot

Chris Hemsworth was such a fucking idiot that he dragged down every scene he was in
every man was either a colossal asshole, colossal idiot, or both. regardless, it was a chore to watch whenever one was on screen
characters are constantly trying to say something funny in every scene to the point where some moments are just walls of voices trying to one-up each other in funniness
like eight fart/poop jokes in the first 15 minutes. one gets bent into a queef joke
every cameo is fucking terrible. Bill Murray fucking dies
Paul Figg has no idea what the name “Ghostbusters” even means because the only encounters before the one ghost they catch are just sightings, yet the media calls them busters like they caught the damn things
they only bust one ghost
they fucking let the one ghost they caught out
the villain is about as dynamic as Hatred Guy
villain literally commits suicide in front of them and the Ghostbusters crack jokes about it for like two minutes
the villain is super powerful as a ghost for no real reason
shitty dance number that got cut from the movie leaves us with one of the most awkward scenes i’ve ever seen in a movie
villain turns into the logo ghost
for some reason Figg thought the logo and hearse needed some kinda origin story. like dude who cares, honestly
fucking terrible new version of the GB theme. you know the one. with the shitty rap
for some reason the second half of the movie is spent developing and using weapons to kill ghosts
fucking girl Slimer
for some reason there’s like a legit attempt at a fast paced action sequence and it’s fucking terrible
villain’s portrayal in the final sequence is like a 10-year-old was told to write a “girl power” kinda script, with wonderful lines like “you shoot like girls” and the ghost being shot in the dick because boys are icky

pretending this movie would be successful enough to warrant a sequel

Hey anons. How shitty/nonshitty is your fandom's Archive of Our Own tag?

Mine has like 12 entries tops and what's there is okay I guess. Pretty unexciting.

fandom 1: a lot of fics but its all bad. its just terrible. when its not weird egg porn its 500 high school aus where x is sad bc y is a bully, can z fuck the sadness away????

i saw a warrior cat au once. this also had eggs in it. i dont know why theres so many eggs :(

fandom 2: not as many fics, not as terrible as fandom 1 but it's a canon with multiple timelines and endings and a lot of important character details can only be found in specific endings. most fics seem to be written by people who only played through the game once, so lots of shit that contradicts canon/ooc writing. basically just mediocre all around.

fandom 3: two pages on ao3 with like 1 really good fic and thats it. thats the only good one.

fandom 4: lots of bad fic, but lots of incredible fic too. by far my favorite of the bunch. several of the best fics are illustrated, and illustrated WELL. a lot of them are novel-length. they more than make up for the bad ones. fandom 4 is my favorite one to look for fic in. there's so much that i still find new stories to read and ive been in this fandom for six years.

Why is it a problem if you're already getting what you want? And who's to say you won't change your mind in a year or two.

My PSL partners and I often include other characters in our threads but we don't have separate journals for them (which is what I believe you mean).

I'm about to pick up a bilingual character, who inserts words and short phrases from the second language into English on occasion. I don't speak that second language at all.

How would you guys go about playing that sort of character? Gather a list of the words they use in canon and stick to those? Extrapolate? Google translate at random? Or idk, not bother at all?

hey anons is there a reason why people don't play the same character in two different games (other than the fact it's taken)? is it usually frowned upon or nah

not really. two-three is pretty much the limit before people start thinking someone's hogging that char spot. some people don't like or can't handle keeping cr from the same char in different games separate. some people don't want to focus on more than one set with that character. others are cool with being able to compartmentalize it.

so short answer, no, there's no frowning, as long as you're not hogging up a shitload of that char spots. (especially for a popular char)
