F/F friendly characters/canons?

Slightly weird question, I know, so let me provide some context. A while back, when I played characters from (for example) something like MCU or Final Fantasy I rarely got any bites for F/F, even when I posted my preferences as F/F only and actively sought out other players interested in F/F. On the other hand, my characters from stuff like Disney movies, Ace Attorney, and Persona always got lots of interest from other F/F characters, even when I posted them as OTA.

What I'm basically asking is: Are any at least semi-popular canons have characters that are typically accepted or sought after for F/F? I'd like to start playing in memes, PSLs, or even an actual game again soon but none of my old muses really grab me anymore and I don't want to get stuck in a rut where M/F is 90% of what I can get again.

Anime and video games are my favorite mediums, but I'm open to anything. I prefer things that are either complete or show some signs of ending within the next decades (so something like Stranger Things or My Hero Academia is fine, but not something like One Piece or... idk, NCIS or most sitcoms), with the exception being ongoing video games like Final Fantasy XIV and Warcraft which I inexplicably like anyway. As for characters I've played everything from aloof perfectionists to friendly morons so I'm open to anything, though I prefer it if the female characters don't feel like afterthoughts. I like genuinely good shows, of course, but I have a pretty high tolerance for bad, shallow, or mindless things as well.

In addition to the canons I mentioned above I've also liked or played from Adventure Time, Avatar (original and LoK), Bang Dream, Castlevania, Devil May Cry, Dragon Age, Fate, Gundam (various), Granblue Fantasy, the Last of Us, Love Live, Psycho-Pass, Star Wars, and MoDaoZuShi and Heaven Official's Blessing.

RWBY (https://roosterteeth.com/series/rwby) has canon f/f and most of the popular fan pairings are f/f, too. Full disclosure: the first three seasons are almost unbearable, but it gets a lot better.

they're technically genderless rocks but definitely female-coded and nobody ships anything but F/F in that fandom

she-ra, definitely, most strongly recommended if you want active f/f on dwrp
steven universe, not as active these days but i'm sure you'll get some bites

fire emblem
fairy tail
dragon maid (not that this doesn't come with its own issues but this heavily features f/f)
rwby if you can stomach terrible plot

a lot of the f/f feels super forced in rwby and frankly if you need three whole seasons to get to "the good part" imo it's not really worth the investment. these days i see a lot more of the dudes floating around so i'd say this is a more of a niche/ymmv rec.

Isn't rwby season 1 an hour long or something? It's not that huge of an investment compared to a season of pretty much any other show out there.

the first 3 seasons are about 1.5 hours all put together, and honestly you can skip the first two if you find you can't stand them. there is a huge tonal shift halfway through 3.

"the f/f is forced" is a weird take if you've watched past volume 3 but shrug. i'm not here to debate or change minds, just here to rec something op might enjoy based on their stated tastes

+1 rwby is one of those canons where a good rper can potentially save a character from their own garbage canon and do them justice on dwrp, but the canon source material is SO inconsistent with their own characters and writing i would personally not bother even if you paid me

Regardless of the actual content of the show, a quick look at the only three games I know of with RWBY casts shows me that two of them (Erku and Deerington) have mostly female characters, while the other (Avalon) has entirely female characters, with an overall female to male ratio of 3:1.

Unless there's multiple other games with mostly male casts or a flood of the dudes on memes this doesn't seem like the sort of canon where someone playing a girl is going to get snubbed.

i personally adore rwby and find it enjoyable plotwise, but there's a few anons who hate it and feel the need to tell anyone who mentions it why they think it sucks. i'd really just advise anyone who wants to get into it to try it and see if they like or dislike it rather than assuming they'll have the exact same taste as a random anon.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is full of f/f.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses could be a good bet. I don't play from it, but it feels like there's a lot of f/f possible.

Life is Strange (the first game) is f/f paradise, but fair warning that the game is full of heavy content, especially toward the end.

Madoka Magica has a new related series called Magia Record which I have not seen (I have seen the core series and movies) which has tons of girls and a general tone that is more aimed towards F/F. So playing from either that or the original series could garner some luck.

Also just seconding/thirding Steven Universe and She-Ra.

I'm not sure how popular Arknights is on dreamwidth, but there's a metric fuckton of f/f fan content for it, especially given the cast is majority female and a lot of the girls have a good bit of depth to them. The story itself is also shockingly good for a mobile gacha game! It is technically ongoing, story-wise, but the current major arc just completed, so there's a good bit of lore and characterization to draw from.

There's also the Locked Tomb Trilogy, albeit that has a smaller cast.

Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight. It's a Bushiroad franchise (like Bang Dream and Love Live) but with theater girls instead of idols or musicians. The anime is pretty solid but there's also a mobile game adding more characters, plus multiple stageplays and manga adaptations. Has some canon f/f and some subtext.

Minor correction here: Love Live is a multimedia series backed by Kadokawa (print works), Lantis (music), and Sunrise (animation). Bushiroad makes a big amount of the merch and published the first mobile game but I wouldn't call it a "Bushiroad franchise," though I'd consider something like Assault Lily, which has more input from Bushiroad and features a number of their talents in roles, more of one.

While we're at it, I'd rec Assault Lily to OP for the viewing/story experience but not for RP. I haven't seen anyone RP from it on DW. The live-action plays, novels, and game are much better written/organized than the anime, though; I feel bad for anyone whose introduction to the series is the anime.

looking for an outwardly friendly dude character (anywhere from late teens to mid-30's) who nevertheless has a thing about maintaining emotional distance from others due to trauma. nifty powers and being an anxiety-riddled mess on the inside are a bonus.
