I'm still thinking about doing it, I just haven't run a game before so some more feedback would be neat if anyone has advice.

I'm not sure how player characters would be encouraged to participate in the spooky shit that's going on around the town. The only thing I can think of is the more they mess around (with paranormal shit) the more likely they can find a way home?

I was thinking more about events. Right now I'm thinking there'd be a big event every other month that has the potential to affect everyone, and more characters need to work together to sort it out. Then there would be smaller mini or personal events that would be directed at individual characters or small groups of them. And also player events could happen whenever.

I don't really know how to work towards an overarching storyline or plot, but I know there's a few things I definitely want to hit on.

I'm looking for characters from Death Note (the 2017 Netflix remake) to play off of. I'm willing to play L or Light, but I'd probably prefer to play Light. I'm also willing to play off of this universe's version of Mikami, Mello, etc. if someone wants to try that out--I think they'd be the most extra characters ever. The sky's the limit here.

I'm particularly interested in Nat Wolff's comments about Light and L having to work together in a potential sequel. It'd be an amazing mess for so many reasons.

A few ideas with these in mind:

Girls get a guy their shy friend likes to play truth and dare with them to "help" her out. Things start with just suggestive play, then with him doing more for her, until her friends decide to go further and have him act out kinks they enjoy upon her.

Girls on a cruise or a trip offer sex to someone to buy them alcohol. Only when he arrives they offer up their shy friend as payment.

Girls tie up their shy friend and leave her in the bed of an authority figure or older brother to keep him busy while they sneak out or do other things unsupervised.

Girls bring their friend to help hustle guys at pool. One of them is really good and they all dress the part to bait someone in. The idea being they double down until they offer themselves and walk away with a big pay day. Only they lose the first night their friend comes out with them and leave her as payment for the bet.

RP anxiety can eff right off. I miss the days when I wasn't so worried that I was bothering people with every tag I make, or worried about being labeled "over-invested" even though I've literally never been namedropped or anything of the like on here or Wankgate.

Actually, anxiety in general can eff right off. If I didn't enjoy this hobby so much, I'd drop it like a hot potato because of how stressed out I get over it.
