Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I play a lot of video game characters and often the official art/using game screen caps looks like SHIT. Or even if it isn't, it's not at all a suitable range of expression that I need. Lately I've been caring more about how the consistency of my icons look rather than if they're from ~official sources~ or not. That and the character might be described as some very serious grizzled old guy but the official art/game screens makes them look like a cross-eyed anime twink or something. Which is dumb.

I try to credit where I can on the icon descriptions. some really old icons I made years ago before I started putting where I found them in the filename will just be lost to the ages. I feel bad about it, since I'm also an artist. if I don't know I just put "unknown" or "pm with source" or something. I wouldn't mind if someone wanted to use my art as an icon for dwrp, so long as they don't claim they drew it... or edit it to the point it's completely unrecognizable. (you may want to consider using another source image if it needs to be edited that much.) if it's an eye/hair color change or cleaning up sketch lines or taking out speech bubbles or something i don't care. i do that once in a while as needed.
