The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. you'd be surprised. I fell back into an old "dead" fandom of my recently and people are still writing fic, just not as much as when it was more active.

Jewish anon here, and stating right off the bat that we're all going to have different opinions on this sort of thing so I'm not speaking for other Jewish people here.

For me, this really toes the line. At first reading through this thread I thought it was all in-journal use, such as in the layout, and imo that's whatever territory since it does thematically suit the character. Same with if it'd been used as part of icon keywords.

But using a swastika in the subject line on a bakerstreet meme just tips over into bad taste, because it isn't at all necessary for formatting or anything other than screaming LOOK AT MY EDGE~

So yeah. I wouldn't say outright horribly offensive (it would've been if the character hadn't been a canon nazi,) but still gross.

anon, I work at Target, and the Mattel GB toys aren't authorized to be put on clearance yet. They've got another month of shelf life, at least, regardless of how well they're selling.
