rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Not sure if this belongs in game ideas, but I had an idea for a new dressing room. I've posted a bakerstreet meme with the general idea I had for it, but for those not wanting to jump to the link at the bottom, here's the jist of it:

The Hotel Between Worlds

You are no longer in your own world. A bellhop hands you a room key and mutters that all luggage has to be carried by residents, company policy. After that, well, the rest is up to you.

The hotel between worlds is an expansive resort in the middle of nothing. There's a pool, a bar, rooms, a lounge, a game room and arcade, a restaurant, and much more.

Characters have been sent there for an enforced vacation from their reality. Time to get drunk, sleep it off, and generally try to find their way around the labyrinthian hallways of the hotel. They can come and go, though the requirements for leaving seem to be some odd entity's idea of 'Well Rested'.

Would love to know if people are interested. If not, that's cool. But I'll make it if people would be willing to play in it. In the meantime have a meme?

i like the premise and think it's a good idea.

you'll definitely need to advertise a lot (here, plurk, atp) and ask others to drum up support among their friends. a dr will need good momentum from the get-go to survive which may be difficult. basically advertise it as one would an actual game.

you'll probably want to add something to the meme itself saying it is a sort of test run for a dr.

I also think you'll need to gear a dr away from blank top levels if you want to create a place that will cultivate cr, which is the only way anything will survive.

As a dressing room it would be far more geared to people writing starters. As a meme, I've noticed most that require them seem to get abyssmal attention, and while I like the ones that require starters more I just tossed this one up on the fly.
