had a fight with a rp partner a few weeks back. issue was resolved, but I wish our threads didn't have to suffer as a result. since then they've been tagging back a thread or two once a week, but keep eagerly suggesting we do more. I don't get it. should just cut them out and find someone else to play these characters with except I like a lot of their headcanon. we share the same thoughts when it comes to these characters so it's a rare gem in a fandom full of rotten people.

any anons experience something like this? does it get better after a couple months or will it just continue?

is american horror story any good? i've caught some minutes of every season, but it just seems like a gore fest.

it is extremely campy and ridiculous, so well worth your time and anger

asylum is the best season with the most thoroughly plotted out story line and characters, but it is still very goofy despite the occasional gore

murder house and coven were both a lot messier, although there's still plenty to enjoy

It's sad because I used to like doing it, too. Now I just finish a canon and go find something else to do, and I don't discuss it at length or rp it

I'm thinking of dropping my game and RP in general for a while, for lack of interest and time. But something petty happened recently and I'm worried that it would look like I dropped because of it, when I don't actually care about that thing remotely.

I know I'm overthinking it when I would no longer be playing with these people soon anyway but I don't want to be that guy, especially when I'm friends with some involved.

I want to quit RPing in games for good, but I always get pulled back through a sense of nostalgia and end up regretting it or getting bored, and end up dropping after a while. I'm so desperate I've actually considered purposely giving myself a bad reputation so I literally can't return.

Do you guys have any success stories on this?

I would not recommend doing the bad reputation thing. It just turns your problem with willpower into everyone else's headache. Tempting though it might be, it would be a shitty thing to do.

Have you tried telling your friends in games about this? they'd probably be willing to help discourage you.
