how's it working out? - much better, i feel like a person with actual freedoms now. it gave me time and distance to look back and gain perspective and now i feel mostly kind of sorry for them, but not enough to care. i can see why they turned out this way, which is unfortunate, but i can also see them actively choosing to excuse their behaviors and such so i don't have much sympathy for them. it gave me a lot of closure.

do i think i missed out? - at times, yeah, at others, no, because i'm catching up now. i still have a whole life to experience these things, after all.

is it difficult for me to relate to others with healthy upbringings? - personally, no. my experiences gave me a great deal of empathy for others and i don't feel much jealousy or difficulty with these things now. jerks can have the best upbringings too, so it's really just a matter of if they're a good person or not vs how they were brought up.

nevada-tan is getting released from tochigi juvenile institute this year (it was said 2013, but i've read that it was postponed until 2014).

i can understand people are disgusted with her because she did a horrible thing. i can see how an 11 year old that hasn't been socialized and facing bullying might turn to killing if they have no remorse, though. it makes me wonder how going back into society would be for her (the victim's parents have apparently forgiven her).

i've played the sims so much that seeing a sim used as a pb would immediately distract me no matter what, but it doesn't help that everyone i've ever seen with sims as pbs has apparently played the game on the lowest graphics settings, with no/terrible custom content, and been awful at making icons to boot

is it actually a common thing to casually refer to someone as "my lover"? like, "this is my lover", or "i'm looking for a lover", or "were you lovers" or something, just in regular conversation?

i think it's a contextual thing tbh. i see it most often used in situations where people/characters don't want to state what their exact relationship was with a person but need to get the point across that they are/were sleeping together. more often than not when it's an affair.

the last few days have been shitty

finally reached a social worker about my food stamps since they haven't refilled yet. oops, i got denied for not turning in something that no one asked for the 2 times i had to send things in! and it's income papers... when i don't have an income. so i have to re-fucking-apply over one god damn document.

somehow my rent money moved. i put it on my nightstand and when i was frantically looking for it, it was under a small box on my nightstand. i'm the only one living here and i wouldn't put it there.

got an application to reapply for food stamps yesterday, i'm surprised it arrived so quick when i called wednesday! can't fucking find the envelope today even though i put it on the exact same spot my rent money was.

i must be haunted by an asshole ghost or some shit, jesus fucking christ. there's no sign of entry in my window or my door. and this is not shit that my kitten can reach.
