not really celebrating RIGHT NOW, but i just bought some money to burn and nian gao to make back at home :D was gonna buy some incense too... but they all came in like packs of 100+ and i'm the only person in my apartment who wants it so i held off

tomorrow i'm gonna cook a fuckton for me and my roommates and have a legit chinese new years dinner though

just gotta figure out where/how to burn my money without setting off smoke detectors/people thinking i'm setting our apartment on fire...

yeah my family is pretty traditional :D and i guess i'm not super devoted or anything but now that i've moved out it's sort of comforting and makes me feel like i'm at home to follow along. i'm not making jiao zi though-- no time, cause i get home from work pretty late.

are you doing anything for chinese new year? :)

i wasn't going to, but my neighbors have showered me with oranges so i guess i'm going to be celebrating by eating three crates of them. i guess i'll burn some fake money and incense, too.
