i have very succinct info/permissions. my info blurb is like a paragraph tops, maybe two if i need if. i summarize the most useful thing for a random player to know about my canon, like "bob is an inventor who comes from a steampunk hypercapitalist future set in 2085" and summarize my character's personality in the remaining handful of sentences, focusing on what they can expect in a typical thread and anything useful or flavorful to know.

i agree that having a conventionally attractive or interesting-looking character goes a long way, as does topleveling nice icons that showcase your character's "appeal" i guess you could say. if i see an icon that interests me while scrolling down a sea of blank top levels, i'll click the journal to learn more about the character or just write a starter and see where it goes.

Ooooh, neat! That would definitely be an interesting thing to explore a corruption arc in, with the various Force powers alongside the light side/dark side balance! I only have the one Force user canon character in my muse roster and she's not male lol, so I'd have to make an OC, if that's cool with you? Would it be live action PBs, or video game, or something else?

I've done some xeno on human stuff in the past and it's great, but I’ve been craving two sets of non-human biology mixing it up recently. I've got a handful of canon aliens and monsters, happy to cook up an OC.

My main interests are a focus on seemingly incompatible biology finding a way, experimenting with each other, getting weird with it. Biology can be anything, but the less human the better. Sapience required but thinking alien is great. Maybe even introducing the idea of romance to a species, teaching a Xenomorph Queen to love would make my day.

About two hundred tags? Give or take a few dozen to avoid being ID'd too easily.

It's worth it to me. It's just a bit of a wait.

this sounds so much like someone I threaded with years ago. we also had a number of really excellent but very short-lived threads that always died when she would just stop tagging. we became good rl friends soon after so I didn’t/don’t mind and now I know it was a major anxiety and other mental health thing, but at the time it was happening it did drive me a little crazy because she was such an amazing writer and rp partner in the little we managed to do.

since this seemed to do pretty well in the tail-end of the last post, here it is again!

list out scenarios you'd love to play, no matter how corny or cliché! doesn't have to be character, kink, or canon specific! don't be afraid to reach out to each other to make those rp dreams come true ~

Avoided playing one of my fave characters for years bc I thought he'd be really difficult to write. Impulsively threw him at a TDM recently and found out that he's actually super fun to play and that his voice comes pretty naturally to me after years of obsessively poring over his canon \o/

it's amazing how many amazing writers aren't as amazing as they could be, bc they lack consistency. kinda sad.

The reason why I've decided to put some distance between us is because your obsession with me have gotten to the extreme levels. First off, I've told you many, many times that I am in a game with Character A with activity checks. Game tags will always be a higher priority for me than memes and PSLs. It doesn't mean I will never tag back to them (a lot of times, I manage to get tag nirvana), but I will always tackle the game ones first and then everything else. I'm not going to apologize for my priorities, and you're not going to guilt-trip me over the fact you're not the first person I tag back to at the start of the day.

Second, when I expressed interest in Character B from a canon we both enjoyed, you wanted to play with me, and I was fine with that. But what I wasn't fine with was when I told you let's wait until the weekend when I have more time to tag with Character A and B because the weekends are my days off of work, and I can finish setting up Character B's icons in peace, you flipped out on me. You started to make obvious vague passive-aggressive plurks about me immediately after I told you to wait for the weekend (which was around the fucking corner, by the way).

Sorry that I'm a responsible adult with a job and I prefer to get my tag on when I'm off work (or the weekends) vs trying to sneak in tags and possibly get in trouble with my managers. I've tried to be friends with you, I've tried to be cool with you, but this fixation you have on me is too much for me to handle, and it's getting a little creepy. Especially when you consistently tell me how cute/beautiful I am when you don't have the slightest idea how I look like IRL.

I'm sorry, but this distance is for the best. Maybe some day we can start back over from scratch.

1) BFF shenanigans. The type of close friendship where both friends have each other's back, but also enable each other to do stupid nonsense and/or have no qualms about getting their friend in trouble because they are confident in the friend's ability to handle the trouble. The translated Spy Room novels describe Lily and Sybilla's relationship as "two dumbass peas in a dumbass pod" and that pretty much sums up what I'm into for this here. I'm not really looking for shipping in this scenario (using the same Lily+Sybilla example, Sybilla actually makes an effort to help Lily and their teammate out after the teammate confesses to Lily); it's harder to thread BFFs in RP unless the other player also doesn't ship the pair romantically.

2) Speaking of shipping: the post-getting-together part is something I don't get to thread much, unless it's an assumed relationship or canon pairing. Where are my dates, my doting spouses, my longterm partners, my sleepy morning cuddles, sharing mealtimes under one roof... I guess this works better as a PSL or in memes if skipping past the actual getting together. I have a treasured PSL where the thread partner and I have written the characters at different stages in their relationship, knowing (as players) they were going to be endgame.

3) Contrasts between the parties in a close relationship. Could be friendship or romantic (or friends to lovers I guess? I eat that up with a spoon). Especially if it subverts expectations or stereotypes, like the tall imposing bf who turns into an uncool clingy baby around his sweetheart, the older and seemingly more put-together friend needing their grouchy aloof younger friend to calm them down from a rage, that sort of thing.

A little over a year. Unfortunately, they stopped again after two tags, so I'd almost rather they hadn't gotten my hopes up for that PSL continuing at all.

Idk if this is a woe or something more suited to wg but here goes.

Finally playing a popular character, excited to see how others play him! Everyone seems to play him as a cockslobbering uke who wants to hump a character he canonly hates/dislikes and seems to forget he's, possibly, still devoted to his wife. Decide to never look at how others are playing him just so I don't get annoyed by it.

not a new meme but an updated/modified party meme. i may make it myself but if someone wants to do it themselves, i would be happy :)

idk if there should be prompts and the occasion. for example:

occasions: 1) farewell party, 2) homecoming party, 3) formal party (i.e. a ball, banquet, maybe prom?), 4) holiday party, 5) birthday party (idk if holiday and bday should be separate), 6) house party (i.e. it's wednesday, my dudes. let's party), 7) secret party (like a speakeasy)

prompts: 1) getting the party jumping, 2) dancing, 3) food and drinks, 4) waiting in line for the bathroom, 5) not partying but working as the dj, waitstaff, bouncer, etc., 6) scatter! the police are here

again, i may make it myself but if someone else wants to do it (or just wants to help with the prompts), i would be super grateful
