Hi! I'm trying to get a specific look with a profile table thing. It's a modified version of https://asylums.insanejournal.com/supersuits/43537.html. I've got the shape of it down to what I want, but is there a way to throw a border around the entire table? Like, if I want the entire thing outlined, is that possible in DW coding?

I'm also trying to slap an image over the top center that overlaps the various 'borders' without deforming/separating them. I don't know if that can be managed, though.

Hello! If I'm understanding the look you're going for: Sticking a border in the table style should do the trick, e.g. (copied directly from the original, addition bolded)

This will also surround the credits at the bottom! If you want the credits outside the new border, move the entire line that contains code by wearestardust to after the </table> tag (spacing doesn't matter).

I'm not entirely sure what you mean about the overlapping image; is there another code that has the look you're going for?

not linking because anon, but places like this help. if you google css or html on how to do font alteration, like size/tables/color etc, it generally transfers okay.

How do I resize tumblr icons for dw? They come out looking really messed up just shrinking them to 100 x 100 in photopea. It makes no sense. Has anyone figured out why or the way around it?

this might be a me problem bc i dont tend to like a lot of tumblr icons i see enough to actually use them, but i really dont think theres enough info here to properly advise you

you're sizing to 100x100 from whatxwhat? what's the filetype? do you have to convert the filetype from say webp to something dw can use? theres certain aesthetics ive seen in tumblr icons that will probably never size down nicely to such a small resolution, is this a case of that? what style of editing has been done on them?

also medium? the advice for overtouched live-action icons is gonna be different than it would be for like, dunmeshi icons or something

how big are the tumblr icons anyway because pretty much all of the ones I've ever seen are just copying the livejournalrp standard of 100x100 with way too many filters so you don't need to resize at all

but ultimately, you don't want to go the angle of resizing existing icons to fit another size. presumably the icons you're sourcing from tumblr are already resized, and resizing down is an inherently lossy operation. further resizing will just get you a blurry mess no matter how much oversharpening you apply before you scale down.

you would be better served to find the original screencap the icons come from and edit that down into actual icons.

try using the transform tool w/locked aspect ratio and then crop rather than the resize tool

also be mindful of how you're saving the new image, since that can kill quality too. if you're saving as jpeg, the graphics program usually gives you quality options under a setting somewhere, so make sure that's up to 100% to get quality at a higher file size. or save as png instead

Asking here again because the link I got linked to didn't tell me anything/didn't work for me when I tried it. What's the code/html/<></> or whatever you'd call the input to change the text color, I've been trying to figure it out cause I wanted to make a muse for a character who's thoughts are in blue and wanted to mimic it. I'm using casual HTML.

is there a way to bulk download images/screencaps from a fansite/capping gallery? i'm tired of saving all the images one by one.

closest I get is add ons to browsers. what are you using? generally you can find an add on to dl all the images on a page which is...slightly less irritating than doing them one by one even if it's still not ideal.

i'm on chrome but don't mind using firefox. the bulk downloader i did try only grabbed the thumbnails, so i'm hoping there's something better out there.

depending on the site you can just save the website from the browser menu, but that's one big depending.

I'm having some issues with my icons and was wondering if I could get some advice.

I make icons on my laptop with PS. Only recently have I found out some of my icons look like pixelly shit to everyone else. They also look poor on my phone, which is what I use to tag - I figured it was just my phone, but everyone else's icons look normal.

I do 100x100 pngs. It's not the original image quality or anything - just something I'm not seeing on my laptop.

Can you make something and screencap the differences?

I'm going to be really lazy and just link myself. 😅

I have twofold questions:

1) Has anyone made any Gallagher icons from Honkai Star Rail yet? Asking for a friend... (that friend is me)

2) Is there some kind of program you can download to take screenshots for pc video games? HSR has the built in photo-mode, but that's it. If I want to take screenshots of cutscenes I have to hit print screen, drop it into photoshop, hit printscreen, drop it into photoshop, etc... hard when trying to get caps of a cutscene where a bunch is happening. There has to be a better way to do this. The only work around I can think though is look for someone who uploaded a video of it onto youtube and try downloading that and running one of those "screenshot every x seconds" type actions along with it but that also seems a little roundabout.
