Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. i had a fairly okay time modding a small, closely-knit game that didn't have a lot of vindictive players but had, frankly, a lot of lazy, obtuse, and uncreative ones that wanted everything spoon fed to them. it's just a different, less angry form of entitlement. i saw the writing on the wall though, and being friends other other ex-mods we're all of the same mind; no one wants to mod anymore. it requires so much time and energy and is so utterly thankless.

i'll also add on i've been feeling this way about other players too, especially castmates who feel 100% entitled to your time, energy, and that all cr must be positive and all interpretations must align perfectly all the time and everyone has to tag everyone equally and fairly and be active at the same level. or, hey, everyone knows the canon so it's okay to infomod and godmod other castmates. if you don't gel with certain players or say "hey i think we shouldn't tag" that doesn't work because it's "out of character". lord don't even get me started on shipping or pairings and how much ic/ooc blurring will always happen if another castmate player doesn't ~approve~ of said ship. there's no winning. i will never play in a big cast again because it's like a microcosm of a game except everyone thinks they're a mod without any real authority over each other.
