another ex mod and i'll never do it again. i wasn't even a plot mod. just a helper. but the amount of petty, vindictive entitlement that i was subject to, along with seeing the lies that small groups of people would come up with to justify acting like absolute assholes was just amazing. 'i went to the mods about-' is one of the biggest bullshit lies i see on anon comms. we all see you lying. and the worst part is that mods can't defend themselves/their actions in the same spaces because it either means 'they're on anon comms so they're wankers themselves' (never mind that the complaints are happening on wg/rpa and we're being told by those same people that existing in that space with a name/hint of a name is bad), or we're expected to lay out full receipts that expose people that shouldn't be exposed or don't ask to be or we have to document and save everything and be professional while players are being absolutely rank is just... no.

never again. the majority of the playerbase are always fine, but it's this one group or that group or that one player that decides that it has to be their way or you're being abusive that just ruins it. and god forbid that the suggestion for people that hate mods that much is to leave their game. i just honestly don't know what people expect as a result when they join a game run by someone/people they hate, they hate most everything about it and complain about everything, and then go and publically make a big stink about it. what do you want, my dude? because what you're going to get is either booted from the game or the mods dropping and now no one has a game. good job.

coming back to this to add that i also got super tired of being a parent to a bunch of people my age. every little thing got taken to the mods. every little squabble or dislike or this didn't go my way or why are you paying more attention to them or i wanted this power/toy and i got this one why are they in the game why don't you boot them i want an oompa loompa right now!

it got so goddamn draining. the good players are wonderful and most of you are good players. but the bad ones and the needy ones are just so fucking exhausting and demand so much goddamn attention that i don't have to give. i can't focus on you. on just you. on your needs. there are 80+ other people in this game. i'm not a teacher. i'm not your parent. i don't get paid. please let me have fun. be an adult, ffs.
