I'm seriously considering apping here but I had some questions.

- Will there be a TDM?
- What's the atmosphere like so far? How nice is everyone? Any trolls infecting the place yet?
- Do I have to know about or have been involved with Melodies of Life to follow stuff in this game?
- Is there a game plurk that I can follow to remind me when the TDM/reserves/apps begin?
- You guys cool with backtagging?

I probably have more questions but I'm not a total dweeb i guess. The game looks amazing and well thought out, though! A Final Fantasy game sounds awesome.

Two Qs:

1) Where can I find the most digestible summary of the current state-of-the-metaplot? I almost apped in when the game was first beginning so I know what was going on then, but I'm not sure where to go to find how it's changed or which of my characters would be the best fit now.

Have the mods indicated when the next apps period will be? I didn't see anything on the calendar or apps page. I've heard it's probably a couple more months or so (which works fine with my schedule) but I'm just curious if there's been anything more specific.
