does anyone have any tips for sharpening la icons? i'm working with caps that are really dark and have very blue lighting, so i'm having to do a lot of color correcting and brightening, and i can't seem to get nice, crisp edges. everything seems just a bit blurry/off no matter what i do. at the moment i'm mostly using high pass, but i've been trying the smart sharpening tool as well. thanks!

It really isn't. There are a lot of things that could cause it but sometimes your deliciousness comes down to certain genetic factors. Like people with Type O blood for some reason are more delicious to them.

Yeah those survey results are weird, Connor is easily the highlight of the game. Both in terms of his gameplay sections consistently been the best and his story.

Not having him go Deviant right away like the other two and slowly building towards him choosing it for himself was more interesting and his relationship with Hank was great. Especially if you pursue a friendship, was happy with my epilogue ending with them both reuniting and sharing a hug.

I just got used to living in a really cold climate where during winter it went so cold that 30-40 F felt balmy and temperate so now that it's going up to 50-60 it feels like the goddamn surface of the sun.

I feel like a heat wuss but am at least comforted by the fact that I'm no longer a cold wuss. I now understand the people I see in the supermarket that wear shorts in 40 degree cool and am ready to at last join my shortpants brethren.

I do miss the fandom community outside of the RP circle, though, and having a more active meme and dressing room scene. I go to other sites for fandom stuff but not really RP stuff.

2. not sure anymore. I'm not a fan of games and memes are so Representative and empty in comparison to what they used to be. I think I'm still here for the anon sites for entertainment/fandom talk and the occasional opportunity to play something I really want to write in a PSL but even those writing partners often tend to be very slow tag-wise.

6. the tumblr format is messy but x-kit cleans up most of it. The tagging speeds are much faster and there are more writers from the fandoms I enjoy rping to choose from. Mostly there's just a much wider variety both of writers and writing ideas and since I'm all about PSLs over games its a pretty easy pick-up.

i'm completely canonblind so idk how much of my experiences line up with the character/canon but what i learned going to a school with a big deaf community:

- deaf people tend to be very blunt when signing. it just takes too long to beat around the bush and compliment sandwich any criticism, they're more likely to just straight up tell you when something is bad or could be improved. bluntness in general is also just kind of a cultural thing, they're less uptight about things a lot of hearing people would consider too "personal".

- some deaf people are okay with hearing aids and implants and like having stuff to help them function in a largely hearing world. some really really do not like them and are perfectly happy being deaf and don't want to fix it. entirely depends on the person.

- you cannot be super stoic and cool while signing. you just can't. facial expressions are a big part of a lot of signing.

- deaf people are not as quiet as tv and movies make them out to be. depends on the person, but some make tons of little noises (grunting and stuff like that) without realizing it.

- it's considered way more obnoxious to make a big deal out of cutting through a deaf conversation than to just pass through quickly. yeah, don't linger in between people trying to talk when they need to see each other, but making a big production out of trying to squeeze behind someone instead of between them or ducking below their hands/faces while you walk between them is super annoying, they can handle losing line of sight for the half a second it takes you to pass and won't be annoyed.

- same goes for getting someone's attention. a little tap or waving a little in someone's peripherals is enough. grabbing or jabbing someone or waving your hand right in theirface is rude.

- the deaf kids at my school had the loudest parties. those who are HoH like the music louder so they can hear better, and those who are entirely deaf like it being louder so they can feel the vibrations.

- deaf people can have a silent conversation from opposite ends of a room. this isn't a cultural thing so much as a thing i was super jealous of. lots of deaf kids just openly talking to their friends on the other side of the class without the teacher noticing.

Feel free to wander about the Manor as you have free range through it and the gardens! You will have no need for anything here: your wardrobe is full, your desk has your purse, and the kitchens are always very well stocked. Should you need anything from the staff, just write the request in your field notes book and they will happily see to it - whether it's a sandwich in the middle of the night or extra linens. They, and I, want you to be as comfortable as you can.

I do hope you enjoy your stay here. Should you wish to stretch your legs, there is a village nearby but I'm afraid it's mostly surrounded by fog. The weather might be a little dreadful but you'll find ways to entertain yourself while I busy myself with some more important matters, right?

Welcome, invited guests!

Thistlegreen Manor is a panfandom CR based amnesia, horror-esque game set in a Gothic Victorian Mansion at the turn of the century (early 20th century). Characters are "invited guests" of one H. Thistlegreen and have no recollection of their lives or have access to their powers upon arriving.

Items/Powers/Memories can be gained back by interacting with the other "guests" of the manor. However, the longer one stays without trying to interact with others, the more difficult it is to remember your past is. You could even lose them again. Do you assimilate into Thistlegreen's dollhouse or do you fight back to get home?
