but have you ever tagged a character you didn't love in canon and love the way someone played them? how'd that go?

plenty of times. there are some characters i straight up hated in their canons who were played really well and i loved tagging with.

a lot of what makes a character unlikeable in their canon is shoddy writing. in the hands of a good writer, most characters can be made very compelling.

Are there any games out there with a decent-sized/large, legal-aged live action cast? Everywhere I look are teenaged toons (or teenaged LA).

I don't play anyone who would hang out with children without reason and the bevy of kids pretty much eliminates any adult-fun too. Anytime I get interested in a game, I check out the taken page and read a few posts but it never seems like a good fit.

Why did everyone start combining drop and hiatus posts into one thing? They're not really related in any fashion, unless you want to remind people going on hiatus that they could always drop? (or vice versa I guess).

It didn't used to be like that. Games had two different entries for it.

I mean, if I said 'hey we should combine the reserve and drop pages into one form' everyone would think I was nuts yet that makes pretty much the same amount of sense.

they are kind of related, actually. they're a notice to the mods of a stoppage of activity in the game, whether temporary (hiatus) or permanent (drop).

personally, i see no need to make two separate posts for that, when one works perfectly well. i really doubt anyone putting in a hiatus notice is going to go "oh! it says i can drop, too! i never knew that! i guess i'll just drop!" everyone knows you can drop a game by this point.

deets for my situation: i don't want to rp with them or talk to them unless it's unavoidable or just the occasional thread. i won't flip out and cry STALKER!!!!!!!! if they tag me on bakerstreet not realizing it's me, send me a pp to ask me something, or occasionally want to chat, but they just don't seem like someone i would want in my life ooc. we've never had an official falling out, i just sent them a simple pm saying "hey, i'm not interested in rping with you and, since you asked nicely, here's why." they do have a wank history but i don't consider them a "threat" to me.

their identity is nobody's business but mine, theirs, and potentially the mods' so don't ask/guess who it is.

as a mod, no. if you're on civil terms and you're not wanking on each other or causing trouble for each other and have no reason to think anything might start, going to the mods is premature. if you're doing it to be like "hey please don't assign our characters housing or events together" that's cool. but if it's just like "we're ignoring each other" we don't need to know.

i prefer without the underscore but i honestly don't fucking care. i might grab the underscore username too just so nobody goes around using a similar username but that's just me.
