for me it depends on the cr

for some, my favorite thing is talking about feelings. for other cr it's cuddling and sappy makeouts. for others it's dumb shenanigans that end in tears.

i guess the common thread in all these, though, is that it's stuff that solidifies the character's bonds with his cr and deepens their relationship. so maybe that's my favorite thing to play, lol

Because all this whining about app harvests sure looks welcoming.

The game has hit its peak. Not getting as much apps as we used to is a normal part of any game's cycle.

if your oc has a pb who is pretty, white and male, you'll probably fare better than some canon characters.

best advice in the thread so far just have someone else cook with you a few times

you don't have to do it in the morning but see if a friend is willing to make scrambled eggs a couple times when you're both free until you're comfortable enough to do it yourself in the morning

also eggs took me a while to get the hang of since they stick/burn easily but don't worry, after you do it enough it'll be super easy

thank you this is helpful insight! i don't know how successful i'd be trying out a fandom character because i've never done it before, but it's definitely worth considering as an option and this sounds like a good way of letting people warm up to me

thank you for this! you raise a good point about people having certain preferences wrt la/anime too. this sounds like a good mindset to approach things with though. i'm not eager to ship my ocs with fandom characters or anything, i just want to try something new and write tbh so i'll poke around more to learn nuances so i don't turn people off from me. and i was looking at smaller games so thank you for this tip!

realize that there are always going to be people who are wrong on the internet, and that trying to correct them is a complete waste of your time and energy because nobody's mind is going to change

instead of instigating, close your browser and go do something else for a while. you'll be a whole lot happier in general, trust me

you know how we complain about flakes in dwrp? well, flakes also exist outside of dwrp. disinterested people exist all over the place waiting for that one ideal person with the ideal profile pic and the ideal personality to come and tag/message them. so while they're sitting around waiting for fabio/carmen electra/dean winchester to notice them, they ignore everyone else in the process and give disinterested replies or none at all. it's like the dwrp equivalent of [blinks]

nah man i'm not whining, i'm being realistic. the game is on the decline. the interest in this game from those already in the game and those outside has waned significantly. not going to say it's dying, but i don't really see any renewal in said interest or big resurgence in the future

oh, you'll be fine with asian pbs. the weebs will lap 'em up.

I've tried and like I've said the ones I've extended a hand to just don't seem interested in my character (or me, dropped threads never give you and idea which issue is the deal breaker). Which is totally fine! Everyone has their own unique tastes.

I guess I've also got to say there are some active people who don't interest *me* which limits my own pool (by choice) but then again I'm not so desperate for tags that I'll thread with someone just because they're quick without regard to whether our characters will actually click or not. It might just be time to move on to a different game, but I'll try sticking it out another month or two.

Leverage is like if you crossed Ocean's Eleven with Robin Hood and then dumped an entire shredded parmesan canister's worth of cheese and hilarity on top. It's a show based around a gang of thieves, each with their own different specialty (hacker, grifter, etc.) carrying off elaborate cons and heists in order to help people who've been hurt by powerful companies or interest. For the most part, it's light-hearted, clever, and incredibly fun, all the characters go through really great development, and I think everyone should watch it.

mod, why did you delete my comment about how i think the population of dwrp shifting is interesting? what the actual fuck? im so confused why that was deleted and why there seems to be multiple, non-inflammatory comments missing from that thread.

seriously, what? ive heard you hate discussion on dwrp dying but there was absolutely no reason for that to be deleted, i insulted no one and tried to explain how i WASNT insulting anyone too.

new mod is a tittybaby. i've heard other mundane things got deleted before too. if they're so scared of dwrp dying then, funnily enough, being a tyrant over what gets deleted here is only going to help kill off the population that much faster, since despite anons who ~never use anon comms~ want to claim plenty of rpers still use them for fun.

afaik no one replied to my comment but i was checking to see if there was any discussion. if there was a huge argument in it that got blown up while i was asleep, then that sucks, but my comment wasn't inflammatory so the mod would have had to purposely delete mine too

i've been going to rpa since it was zenmeme and i can't remember any of my comments being deleted unless i was actually participating in a heated argument. another comment of mine was deleted on this post as well, i can't remember what for except that it was deleted. and then i saw an anon asking if a bunch of comments had been deleted lately.

i don't like it.

I liked Blue and hope she's okay and I liked the game but you guys really need to let go of your Blue obsession. It's been two years.

Go a couple canons next door and take a good look at Jaina Proudmoore if you want to see what Blizzard's idea of "sensible character development" is.

Personally, I'm happy if they just continue to knead and massage the characters between long gulfs of insubstantial lore releases and never do much to push ships (or plots) in any direction. After what happened to WoW, Diablo, and StarCraft, I can't believe people expect any better from Overwatch.
