rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

that feel when you want to send the mods a million pm's asking if anything is even going on in the game anymore because everything is behind schedule

feels like big games are just destined to fail these days. nobody has time or desire for all the modwork, shit falls behind, playerbase gets even more loud and entitled. who the hell would WANT to mod?

small, scattered games are dwrp's future. we only have a few giants left.

i know my tiny game wound up dying because no one played in the events that were posted, so the mods gave up on posting new ones.

people are playing in the events the mods are bothering to post

i have no idea what's going through their heads right now and why they're dragging their heels about posting the scheduled events like they're supposed to

yeah, i was talking to the other anon whose game was months behind. once it hits that stage, there's probably no reviving it.

if yours are still scheduling and posting events, albeit belatedly, they might just be feeling burnt out or effort-pinched, especially if there's something going on behind the scenes. pming to prod them probably won't help, but (if you have the time and are willing to actually do it) offering to help with the mod burden might.

sounds like my game. takes 1-2 weeks to get a response to questions where rp literally cannot continue until we hear from a mod, still waiting for a reply so my character can actually participate in an event, big event threads are left idling for over a week, etc. mod claims to be "busy" despite posting several plurks about multiple video games they're playing, and the other mod is always on hiatus. i get that mods have lives and need to do personal stuff now and then, but get someone to cover game duties if you do that. delegate that shit. there are a ton of helper mods who are willing and able to answer faq questions and run events.
