Rundown:

rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.

I know people talk a lot about Aloof Assholes being really difficult to play, but what character types are really easy?

dumbasses

i miss playing a dumbass

Dumbass teenage boys in particular? Ultra-easy to play.

I actually find dumbasses kinda difficult to play because it's really easy to overshoot their dumbassery. Finding the right balance of dumb but believable was always a fun challenge.

shounen heroes

there's a reason so many people play them, they're easy to get out there because POWER OF FRIENDSHIP and all

I really enjoy playing perverts/sexually charged people. These require some discussions of boundaries of other players, but otherwise, you get to just have fun.

the easiest character type for me, but this is also because i play a lot of smut

Characters that have no brain to mouth filter whatsoever, be it because they're dumb or because they're assholes.

I have one character whose tags I never have to think about because they wouldn't overthink what they say or do in the first place.

Jerks with a Heart of Gold.

Also, impossibly optimistic types come surprisingly easy to me, given that I'm a massive pessimist.

the prickly but ultimately good trope probably takes up too much of my muselist

Cute, sweet, optimistic kids.

energetic, talkative, no brain-to-mouth filter characters were always easiest for me to throw around. it was especially helpful if they were the optimistic sort. (think bolin from legend of korra)

they say whatever shit they happen to be thinking and it usually leads to a lot of fun threads
