Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

keep working, because i know what not having a job feels like for an extended period of time and i fucking hate it. the feeling of just sitting around with nothing to do is awful.

also, i like money. and i'd feel compelled to getting more even if i was super rich.

Combination of A/B, I'd keep working my job in the same career for training and networking purposes but I'd eventually want to use part of the money as an endowment to my own nonprofit which I would want to be my FT job (my current career trajectory is nonprofit leadership in this area but likely peaks at director, not founder of my own)

B, with semi-D. I like the field I'm in and I feel like having a steady work schedule helps me feel a lot more grounded, but I would probably move to contractor work so I could take long vacations between jobs.

b/e) i'd like to do something i actually enjoy, even if it doesn't net me as much as my current job. i'd also buy a house outright, put a portion in savings, and invest the rest.

A at first, but lower the amount of hours. Then eventually would go with B and maybe some E of instead working on something like publishing a novel or game rather than working.

a mix of B, C, and D for me.

i'd work on perfecting my art skills so that i could do commissions and all that. i'd also like to volunteer from time to time, probably at animal shelters. and in between all that? sooo much traveling and vacationing.

A) for a little while at least until the checks start coming. then i'd either resign or try to stay on part time for a while

B/C) maybe volunteer around and/or try to run my own v small business

then spend the rest of my life doing whatever the heck i wanna do and taking luxurious vacations, yeah.

I like my job and really enjoy it so I'd keep doing it, but I have plans to do a research degree in the next couple of years, so I'd work until applications had been and gone and done, then use the money to pay off my current student loans, pay for the tuition of the research degree, and all the moving expenses.

after paying off all of my/my family's bills and expenses and reserving a large cut for savings and investments for the future, I do a bunch of volunteer and charity work for the rest of my life. maybe get another degree. idk. mostly i just want my parents to never have to work again. :(

A) Pay some bills.
B) License me some manga. I wouldn't even be looking to make big profit or anything, I'd just want to release translated manga digitally, legit, and sell it cheap for fun!

E. Travel for a bit, then go back to school to study some of the stuff I've always been interested in, but that offered poor enough employment prospects that it seemed like a bad idea when I was choosing my course of study out of high school.

I don't get why people need to job or else they'd be bored for not doing anything. The world is full of interesting things to do and not enough time for it.

I'd feel bad for having a job if I didn't need it. Let someone else get that money.

D and E. Fuck "real work", but I would love to have the time to try to get published, which I'll never have the time to do while I have to scrabble for every penny so I can live. If I never had to worry about money for the rest of my life, I'm going to do the work I've always wanted to do, rather than being an office drudge for the rest of my life.

e.) dont have a job, so would use some of the money to facilitate getting a job/financial stability (i.e. buying a car, moving somewhere closer to workplaces, etc)

Work something part time / volunteer so I felt like I was contributing.

Never work full time again. Never go back to college.

B. Though it wouldn't be working for someone else. I have a business that I've been trying to get started and I would definitely invest in myself. It's a simple, loss start up cost type thing but it has the potential to make a nice bit for me.

E. I'd go back to college like I've planned for the job I really want but likely won't make much money at. I'd pay off all my debts and if I had enough, buy a house outright so I don't have a house payment. Then I'd take my time job hunting. If I had enough to invest and live off the interest, I'd volunteer/work part time in the field of my choice.

A + B here, too - I'd do what a lot of people would do and do some spending off the bat (get a reliable computer and look into moving [somewhere cheaper, ironically], for example), and I'd invest-slash-build toward changing jobs, but I'd probably crawl out of my skin due to restlessness (and oh shit I'm not making any money anxiousness) if I quit my current job without any relatively nice and flow-maintaining segue into something new.
