Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme. Your unfunny, forced memes also fall under this rule.
Do not treat this comm like your personal therapist. Threads about nonfictional suicide, self injury, rape, and abuse will be deleted. There are better resources out there for you.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.
Shut up about Tumblr. If it's not a discussion about Tumblr RP it will be deleted.

be honest, anon. do you tell your thread partners you're not enjoying their threads as much as you are everyone else's? if so, how does that go down? inquiring minds want to know.

frankly, it's never come up before. i tend to do my tags in the order i receive them (unless i'm phone tagging before i fall asleep or something).

if it did, do you think that's how you'd respond? because frankly i don't know anyone who'd be that blunt about why they're prioritizing one thread over another. in dwrp culture on the whole that is just asking for trouble and a grudgewanker.

people always think they want someone to be that honest with them until they actually are. then you can see the ass devastation from space.

i had someone once literally tell me, in exact words, that they'd be totally fine with me critting them for anything. we were castmates.

i critted them once. it was fair crit, imo. no personal attacks and i gave them tips on how to improve.

i never heard the end of the whining and at some point they grudgewanked the shit out of me. (i always fly under the radar and they didn't hide their typing style so i knew it was them.)

being honest without anonymous is a risk.

yep. i never take anyone at their word anymore when they say they're completely open to crit.

spoiler: they never fucking are.

i've told a thread partner on two separate occasions that i wasn't feeling a thread and could we drop it. we might have slapped sudden conclusions on them or left them how it was, but we kept threading.

of course, we thread all the time and i wasn't an asshole about it ("This thread is boring" will absolutely piss people off. "Not feeling this one, let's do something else" won't), but no negative repercussions here.
