rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

anon it's been literal days. there's absolutely no point in arguing about the outcome of the referendum until at least months have passed, if not years.

keep working, because i know what not having a job feels like for an extended period of time and i fucking hate it. the feeling of just sitting around with nothing to do is awful.

also, i like money. and i'd feel compelled to getting more even if i was super rich.

Combination of A/B, I'd keep working my job in the same career for training and networking purposes but I'd eventually want to use part of the money as an endowment to my own nonprofit which I would want to be my FT job (my current career trajectory is nonprofit leadership in this area but likely peaks at director, not founder of my own)

B, with semi-D. I like the field I'm in and I feel like having a steady work schedule helps me feel a lot more grounded, but I would probably move to contractor work so I could take long vacations between jobs.

ia with all of this. i'd love to just not work, but the one time i was out of work i got really depressed and kind of mentally fucked up. it was only for 7 months and i had no problems supporting myself at that time so it's not like i was stressed about not having money, it was just... boring. i got so unmotivated that i didn't want to do anything, not even things i enjoyed, and i also got crabby for no particular reason

so, yeah, i need something to do. i'd maybe get a part time job. maybe stick with an easy full time one. i don't know which i'd go with there. but i know i'd be really excited to go to work every day because there's an amazing sense of freedom from clocking in to a place you know you don't HAVE to stay at. being able to walk away from someone's bullshit is just A+

A with a good chunk of D. Possibly all of D. I've got one of those easy travelling jobs.

b/e) i'd like to do something i actually enjoy, even if it doesn't net me as much as my current job. i'd also buy a house outright, put a portion in savings, and invest the rest.

unconvinced since days have been long enough to lose our triple a credit rating that people died over under austerity, economy wounded, funding withdrawn, research withdrawn, business withdrawn. kill this idea that we can't tell what is happening yet dead, we can and if you can't you need to look harder.

A at first, but lower the amount of hours. Then eventually would go with B and maybe some E of instead working on something like publishing a novel or game rather than working.

a mix of B, C, and D for me.

i'd work on perfecting my art skills so that i could do commissions and all that. i'd also like to volunteer from time to time, probably at animal shelters. and in between all that? sooo much traveling and vacationing.

A) for a little while at least until the checks start coming. then i'd either resign or try to stay on part time for a while

B/C) maybe volunteer around and/or try to run my own v small business

then spend the rest of my life doing whatever the heck i wanna do and taking luxurious vacations, yeah.

volunteer. i've been wanting to get more involved with my church but i don't have the time or resources to put in.

if there's enough interest, i just. might. do it. especially since only a small handful of my characters are promiscuous enough to not care. if they're having sex with other people for a good cause, i could probably swing it and not be horribly OOC.

plus i have a soft spot for npc sex monsters. i guess people could app those too, why not.

no argument on the other stuff because i have no opinion on the player and don't think i've done more than maybe a handful of short threads with them. i was just floored at how stupid that statement was.
