when your character A has a cute thread with character B, like teacher/student kind of banter. but B also has a thread with character C that is teacher/student kind of banter, almost the exact kind of same thread... but player B only ever gushes about that thread and not yours.

anon, you're fine. i didn't mean to single you out in particular and no feathers ruffled here. i thought i was replying under me to catch everyone, but your comment was the most thorough and i really do appreciate it. apologies friend.

you made a great list of things for me to check through and make double sure on. i don't believe i'm making it difficult for people to interact with and i'm not a screaming meany. i hear you on seeing plurks that are difficult to reply to, and no one wants to see negative stuff all the time. its frustrating though when others on the plurk list only have to go waah and everyone goes running and here, not a waah in sight and its all crickets. i'm in a couple of games now but they're small and that's probably the problem, i'm just not an ooc fit. icly is a different matter, which makes it more weird when i had no problems with getting chat on plurk previously

thanks anon. yeah, joining a new game can make it difficult, i've seen that happen. mentioned below, my situation when taking what anons have said into account just seems weird. i got more plurk action when i wasn't in games, go figure. i am now but its a couple of small ones, which is probably the problem

shiki, touko and aoko (+ arcueid) were all in extra in various roles so it's not a stretch of the imagination to say they're going to be in extella, it's more like in what capacity.

i'd love a playable dlc shiki for one but i wouldn't be too mad if she were just an extra boss again

You have a "me vs. them" mentality and seem to think you're above others. It's oozing out of this post and I'm surprised no one has called you on it. You also have a very sour grapes attitude, calling them cliques just because they don't make time for you when you've given them little reason to.

i used to play someone who's been around since the sixties, and i did skip their silver age stuff. well, to be accurate, i tried reading it, but got tired about twelve issues in and wasn't getting anything important to their history, personality, or voice.

that said, i read as much of the 70s and 80s stuff as i could find, but i tend to find the bronze age a lot more fun than the silver age, even if it can get really wordy sometimes. i also read more summaries than actual comics from the 90s, 90s marvel was a harsh place.

i would definitely recommend reading about the last ten years worth of what is relevant to your character, and major storylines, but also the storylines that interest you. there are a lot of things where you can get by just reading summaries, but summaries can also let you know about things you might actually want to read! some of it, you can fill yourself in on as you go, you don't need to know every little thing before you start playing.

as long as you've got a good foundation for their character, it's okay to play a little loose with comics characters who have been around a long time. the professional writers absolutely do.
