how does it feel to know that 52% of your country is just as racist as you are?

ayrt might have been trying and failing to say that some exaggeration is expected in job applications

you don't ever lie and say that you know a program that you've never touched, but if the job description says "must know word" and you know how to do some basic functions but not all the complex stuff, you can still put "i know word" on your application.

as an anon who is not a lawyer but works in a law firm and knows many lawyers, DO NOT GO TO LAW SCHOOL unless a) you love and want desperately to practice law, b) are prepared to PAY OUT THE NOSE for that privilege, and c) can also get into one of the top TOP rated law schools and do well there.

recent law school grads are currently having an incredibly difficult time finding jobs-- not only are entry level law jobs really hard to find, having a jd (or a 3 year gap on your resume) is like the definition of "overqualified so we don't want to hire you", since they'll assume that you want to be a lawyer and will jump ship to practice law as soon as you can.

and i'm seeing the difference between the people i know who went to law school and came out of it as attorneys, and the prospects for the person who is like "I love the law, and I want to write and interpret and work within it enough to deal with all the bullshit and hardships that come with being a new attorney" and the person who went to law school because it seemed like the smart thing to do, and now has to deal with the same bullshit and hardships but with none of the love and wanting to make it work

The most annoying part about these people is that most of the time the lack of dual audio isn't even the publisher's fault. A good amount of the time it is because they cannot get the voice acting licensed since many Japanese voice actors have contracts stating that their voice acting will not be used outside Japan. The remainder of the time it is due to technical limitations, like not enough space on the disc or cartridge.

So it's really frustrating to see those arguments when even the publisher wanted to include dual audio and couldn't due to reasons beyond their control. It's also dumb when the voice acting is very minimal, like one game I saw people doing this with had voice acting that consisted mostly of battle grunts and such.

can someone please explain to me why britain leaving the EU is SO TERRIBLE without being all #RACISM or sjw about it? that's literally all i'm getting on my timeline.

agreed with this person, btw. I like my job 80% of the time BECAUSE I love being an attorney and reading legalese and arguing little antfucking details of everytthing. If that sounds awful to you, DO NOT DO LAW SCHOOL because it's all law school is.

Also, even if you DO go to a top law school, there's no guarantee you'll get a job, even if you do well. I had a 3.6 upon graduation (top third for my school), a strong writing sample, good recommendations and a spotless work history, and still sent out over 600 job applications before I landed my current position, which allows me to live only slightly better than paycheck to paycheck.

My biggest suggestion: look at Destiny Strings and look at what worked and what didn't work. It was a Persona-based game, but they're connected/Persona's a spin-off of the other.

It destabilized their economy something fierce, and will do the same for several other economies, will probably make immigration matters for Brits living elsewhere in the EU a nightmare to solve, same for EU people living there, and that's just off the top of my head.

Obviously it's complicated but being part of the EU allows for people to easily move and work in all the countries that are part of it as well as easy trade of goods and resources. It's bad for the overall EU because it's a very distabilizing event as Britain was one of the most powerful members in terms of economy and military power. And we can see how the economy took a huge hit today.

Also the racism thing is important because the #Leave campaign really preyed upon fear of immigrants and "others" in their campaign.

Not all of us follow the news because we got sick of seeing nothing but negative and our lives are negative enough as it is.

The pound has flatlines and is only getting worse. The economy in Britain has tanked.

And all because some racist assholes didn't want Muslims around.

As long as you don't mind someone mid-twenties looking, John Dee from Makai Ouji comes to mind. He's a manga only character so coloring is needed if you don't want black and white. But he wears snazzy vests and bow ties and definitely has a whimsical sort of look to him

And I've got no regrets.

Basically because the UK is the way everyone outside of the EU trades with the EU, because it's a pain in the ass to deal with their individual rules. Pretty much anything America or China trades to the EU is via the UK, which makes everything a lot smoother and cheaper for the US and China, gets money into the British economy and gets the EU their American and Chinese stuff. The pound is a pretty important world economic feature, being one of the strongest (often considered THE strongest) currency in the world.

Now it's devalued 30 years overnight, so anything trading in sterling has just lost 10% of its value and that's just the start.

Hope you enjoy higher taxes, lower benefits, higher prices and lower quality of services!
