	HELLO, SURVIVOR | It takes a few seconds for everything to register. Your memories and your vision are hazy. You remember the faint whisper of voices, the glaring white pristine tiles of a lab and the cold press of metal against your back. Your eyes flutter; they drift back and forth between sleep and consciousness but you find focusing on anything is difficult. The sedative they've pumped in you makes you far too calm. The next time you wake up, you are in a different space. It's an enclosed metallic chamber that lifts itself up. You feel something is very different. You notice that there are a series of ports decorating your spine. You survey the area and find that the room is unfamiliar, empty save for a table. Placed on the table, is a monitor and a few of your possessions. As you make your way towards it, the monitor flickers on and it plays a message: "Listen to me for a sec, you guys are the only hope we've got left." ➤ PLAY REST OF MESSAGE? NAVIGATION NETWORK ➤ SANCTUMS LOGS ➤ SANCTUMSLOGS CRACK/OOC ➤ SPACEZOMBIES THE SANCTUM is a pan-fandom dark sci-fi game with horror elements set in a post-apocalyptic dystopia in the future. We accept Canon Characters, OCs, In-Game AUs, Fan-Characters and porting memories from previous games. This game has a strong focus on characters and it features a prominent over-arching plot. reposting since i caught the last post at the tail end:

so i have two game ideas and thought i would reach out here to see which one is of more interest before i get too involved in fleshing them out. both involve "optional" quests as a game mechanic, in that they are typically going to be opt-in, but they are the only way to really progress in the game.

GAME 1:
scifi/adventure/survival/frontier. jamjar/nexus. prose + limited network (text only). characters have a home base with different dimensional doors they can travel through in order to gather supplies, materials, resources, etc. dimensional doors will lead to various original and canon worlds, and may involve your standard RPG-style quests (eg. save the populace from monsters, collect random items, help build something, etc). quests will be facilitated by non-invasive NPCs, like a computer just spits out a request form or something. resource-gathering quests are ostensibly the way for characters to go back to their canon worlds, by gathering materials needed to power the machine that sent them here. the home base will involve a frontier aspect in which characters may choose to build using natural and/or cross-dimensional materials, hunt animals, or do regular slice of life stuff. the game will have a beginning-middle-end plot progression, with a loose schedule depending on character action.

GAME A:
scifi/horror/adventure/survival. jamjar with AU option. prose + limited network (audio only). heavy lovecraft influence. set in a flooded, crumbling city with dieselpunk aesthetics and technologies. characters may be AUed into this world. OU characters will have been brought in by either a machine or magic ritual. lots of NPCs, but none are "all powerful" or rulers, allowing characters to stake their own claim in the world and build themselves up to whatever level they wish; NPCs would be more like storekeepers, gang and cult leaders, random background characters, etc. quests would be mostly aquatic-based (fight some fish monsters, go diving for treasure, get materials to fix a boat) and finding enough food and supplies to survive would be the main motivator to participate. room for slice-of-life elements due to the city setting, but the environment should make it very easy to get involved in adventure/action events. the game is more open-ended without a strict ending in mind and more of a sandbox-style game.

For Fetch, she'd need to have at least some of her powers and there would need to be a source of neon lighting in the location somewhere.

shameful, but i want to play a m/m psl in which one character is a sentient human and the other is some kind of mindless, nameless zombie/infected person. ideally it'd be a sex slave or pet situation, with the sentient person keeping the zombie in their basement and using them for whatever entertainment they want.

could be rough and horrible or (somehow) romantic or a mix of the two, i won't be picky. i'd play the zombie. leaning toward the look of something from left 4 dead or the last of us, most likely. teratophiles come at me.

Navy SEALs are always taught

A Navy SEAL was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day he shocked the class when he came in, looked to the ceiling, and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes."

The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the SEAL got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The SEAL went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the SEAL and asked, "What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The SEAL calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid shit and act like an asshole. So He sent me."

This is a true story of something that happened just a few years ago at USC. There was a professor of philosophy there who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester attempting to prove that God couldn't exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic. For twenty years, he had taught this class and no one had ever had the courage to go against him. Sure, some had argued in class at times, but no one had ever 'really gone against him' (you'll see what I mean later).
Nobody would go against him because he had a reputation. At the end of every semester, on the last day, he would say to his class of 300 students, "If there anyone here who still believes in Jesus, stand up!" In twenty years, no one had ever stood up. They knew what he was going to do next. He would say, "because anyone who does believe in God is a fool. If God existed, he could stop this piece of chalk from hitting the ground and breaking. Such a simple task to prove that he is God, and yet he can't do it." And every year, he would drop the chalk onto the tile floor of the classroom and it would shatter into a hundred pieces. The students could do nothing but stop and stare. Most of the students were convinced that God couldn't exist. Certainly, a number of Christians had slipped through, but for 20 years, they had been too afraid to stand up.

Well, a few years ago, there was a freshman who happened to get enrolled in the class. He was a Christian, and had heard the stories about this professor. He had to take the class because it was one of the required classes for his major and he was afraid. But for 3 months that semester, he prayed every morning that he would have the courage to stand up no matter what the professor said or what the class thought. Nothing they said or did could ever shatter his faith, he hoped.

Finally the day came. The professor said, "If there is anyone here who still believes in God, stand up!" The professor and the class of 300 people looked at him, shocked, as he stood up at the back of the classroom. The professor shouted, "You FOOL!! If God existed, he could keep this piece of chalk from breaking when it hit the ground!" He proceeded to drop the chalk, but as he did, it slipped out of his fingers, off his shirt cuff, onto the pleats of his pants, down his leg, and off his shoe. As it hit the ground, it simply rolled away, unbroken.

The professor's jaw dropped as he stared at the chalk. He looked up at the young man and then ran out of the lecture hall. The young man who had stood up proceeded to walk to the front of the room and share his faith in Jesus for the next half hour. 300 students stayed and listened as he told of God's love for them and of his power through Jesus.

Diane, a young Christian university student, was home for the summer. She had gone to visit some friends one evening and the time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year.

She ended up staying longer than she had planned and had to walk home alone. But she wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked "God" to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped around her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safety.

The following day, she read in the paper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley, just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before.

When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if their was anything they could do for her, she asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her."
