What came first, the chicken or the fucking?

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

I'd be more willing to believe this had the showrunners not had nearly 5 seasons behind them of inserting gratuitous torture and rape where there was none in the books. The Cersei scene last year, combined with the fact Sophie is now over 18 makes me fear for everything.

the cersei scene still makes me angry. like, holy shit. there's rape in the books, but the showrunners had a choice of whether to include it or not. not only did they choose to depict it, but they did it in horrendous, excruciating detail, and added in several, extra rape scenes. at best, it's lazy writing and a complete lack of thought. and then there's theon's ordeal; it's like they try to shock and horrify you in the stupidest ways possible. way fucking low-brow shit.

sophie is now not only legal in the U.S., but we're dealing with people who think, "how should i make this character the epitome of evil? derp let's have him rape someone on-screen." not to mention, sansa may be part of a plot, but physically, it's not like she can overpower ramsay if he wants to do something. and it's fucking ramsay, who is an actual violent psychopath and has literally zero respect for women. it's not a matter of whether or not sansa will "take" someone's abuse. once her physical safety is threatened, she may not have a choice--and let's not forget that wives are supposed to give themselves over to their husbands on their wedding night in westeros. she's obligated.

tl;dr i'm really skeeved out by this. unless sansa murders ramsay before he can hurt her, this is going to be disgusting.

i'm hoping she murders him on their wedding night because how awesome would that be
