I will say this: if Blue ever returns, and either boots Haven back up again, or starts some kind of new/spin-off game, I'd join in a heartbeat. She was a fantastic mod, and the way she ran the game made it one of the most amazing experiences I've had in DWRP. Everything was so open to player involvement, and the plot was so fluid. Things were always changing based on how our characters reacted. The best part was you could tell Blue loved it.

Shit happens, and I'm sad she dropped off the map and Haven has to... I don't want to say end, but at this point it kind of feels like it.

On top of everything, I just hope Blue is okay, whether she comes back or not.

Also, while I was a little bewildered at the mods pulling the rug out from under us like they did and nixing the vote, I understand why they did it. Props to them for doing their best in a tough situation.

I hate to be a bubblepopper but Blue was hating it by the end of it. Sure, she loved everyone and she loved watching characters and people react but she also felt pigeonholed and hated that it was taking over her life. You must have missed that point in time where she was talking about bringing the game to an end because it was too overwhelming.

I'm willing to bet that's why she mysteriously vanished.

You know Blue stepped down as a mod for a few months when real life obligations were too much for her, right? If she was feeling overwhelmed, why wouldn't she just do that again?

are you actually in the game anon? all the helper mods have been really explicit about the fact that her emergency was super sensitive and they didn't feel comfortable revealing details but it was legit thing rather than any ploy to disappear because she hated the game.

i think them "doing their best" would have been following through with letting the playerbase vote rather than pulling it out from under them.

that's not doing their best. that's lying to the player base and signing up for something they realized they could not handle.

Amen. I'd rather have the mods tell us honestly they can't go through with Option A than watching the whole game crash and burn because that's what's voted in.

if they were honest about it, they never should have given the option to vote in the first place rather than give hope that the game might continue.

They weren't dishonest about it when the first brought it up. They said they believed they could do it and were willing. They talked more and they changed their mind. When they did, they notified the game. That's not dishonesty, anon, that's people taking stock of what they feel they can realistically do as time goes on and letting the people that need to know, know.

It's the same as anyone making plans to go and hang out with friends and then have something come up. There was no dishonesty when they made the plans, but shit happened and they had to change them. At least this isn't a last minute right before the vote was expected to go up sort of thing.

No it doesn't. They did not lie when they made the first post. It was the truth at that time. The situation changed and so they updated us with the changes. That doesn't make the first post a lie, it makes it outdated.

That's not a lie, anon. Lies are when someone makes a statement with the intentional purpose of deceiving someone else.

The offer they made was an honest one at the time. Things changed. They informed us that things changed. They've been honest with the game the entire time.
