Crux Fleet is a space opera, full of adventure, exploration, battles, and possibly a hint of romance. The main influences are Star Trek, Macross, and Star Wars. If you're looking for genres, it's an adventure/exploration game with hints of slice of life and a focus on dealing with new races, hostile and non. The 43rd Fleet is smaller than it was when it started, and several generations have passed, resulting in people who have lived their entire lives never walking on a planet's surface. The fleet travels from world to world, system to system, scanning and testing to see if the planets there are suitable for colonization. Along the way, they get tied up in intergalactic politics, planetary emergencies, and end up facing off against a plethora of enemies. Your characters, after an incident no one fully understands, appeared in the universe and were rescued by the Fleet. They don't have a way to take them home, but they do have details on the accident that brought them there, and they're willing to send them home as soon as they figure out how. Until then, your character will be given housing and funding enough for two or three weeks, long enough to get used to life on the ship and find some way of making themselves useful. Whether this involves becoming a student, joining the military, becoming a drycleaner, or becoming a scientist, it doesn't matter to the people in charge. There's no room for slackers in the Fleet.

Reservations are now open, applications open on the 15th, and the game itself opens on the first of February. Any questions here, through e-mail, or to the mod plurk are entirely welcome.

a networkless western au based on reality (so you could go wiki up some ideas and don't have to be afraid of "messing it up" _{I have no idea what anyone means by that but I see it a common excuse})

or

a networkless western au set on a fictional land on a fictional planet in a fictional universe with some supernatural or steampunk elements (where you would be encouraged to use your imagination to help expand upon the setting but keep it cohesive and set with the themes of the game)

i haven't read either of those, so i'm afraid i don't know how similar they are to these manga, but crimson hero and chihayafuru are two sports manga i know of that have female leads

Question about saving RP threads

I have several RP threads that have flat disappeared from LJ as people (for whatever reason) have deleted meme comms. And I've got several that I would be really horrified if they disappeared in the same manner. One is over 400 comments long, and one of my AUs has several threads that are over 100 comments long.

So, the question is: Other than the laborious process of C&Ping into a word doc, or unfolding them all and saving them as html, is there a way to save a thread? Surely someone has come up with an easy way to do this?
