rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

so i'm the anon from above talking about tumblr rp for reference, though i havent technically migrated since i play on both

pros dw has over tumblr:

i really really love communities like this and tbh i kinda wish something like this existed for the tumblr rp world, i want to shitstir so badly but tumblr rpers are such babies and would report you for 'harassment' ugh

generally more people are willing to play with canons they know little to nothing about. while this isnt much of a problem for my current muse, as he's from a REALLY well-known canon, i do get the occasional tumblr rper turning me down because they don't LIKE his canon. in my limited experience dwrpers dont seem to do this as much.

i can use one journal for multiple PSLs that don't have to be interconnected. i don't have to make a new account for each ship i want to play with a different person or AU i want to put my character into.

i'm in a space with more people that are closer to my age instead of a bunch of teenagers.

pros tumblr has over dw:

they're more accepting of AU muses. i can shove my "AU where [x] important canon event had a drastic change applied to it" character into tumblr and people will love it.

tumblr rpers on average reply WAY faster. i've had my current main blog for only five weeks and i've already made 2500 posts.

i feel more comfortable in general over there. i don't fear i'll be judged for liking the weird kinks i like and wank doesn't happen in public very much because you can just delete anonymous questions or turn anon completely off.
