YOU ARE DROWNING. You don't know where you are or how you got there, but of this much you are sure. Death and the weight of the ocean press down on you, choking you, dripping into your lungs. You are drowning. Perhaps you already have. Perhaps there's still time. You fight the ocean with every ounce of strength you have left in you, and at long last you break the surface. Air rushes into your lungs at the same time as sea water and you cough violently. It is a monumental effort that takes you to the dirty shore. There's no trash on this beach, but there is other litter. There are bones. Once you've emptied yourself of the ocean your head turns, and you realize you aren't alone. Your companion wasn't so lucky. His dead eyes stare through you, wide in horror. Your mind buzzes with questions. How many have come before you and never made it to shore? How did you come to be in the water in the first place? What is that horrible taste, a tang below the taste of the sea? What was your companion so afraid of? Does he see something you don't? As night falls you can feel them watching you, and you know one question has been answered. Drowning would have been the better option. Thinking of picking up a character from this, mostly eyeing Crowley (may already have a journal, oops) but I'm not opposed to Aziraphale either-- it's mainly that I feel like if I end up apping a new character into my main game then I'd have some character archetype crossover with Aziraphale and a character I already play there.

But I'm looking to branch out a bit anyway, so if there are games you think either of those guys would fit in at, let me know! If I do decide to pick one of them up I'm open for memeing or test-driving or something first. As far as personal taste goes, I can be a little slow so hugely fast-paced games may not be my first choice there, but I'm good with a lot of settings.

Only thing I will absolutely say no to is sex games, sorry, not my thing. Conceptually I'm cool with them but I'm incredibly awkward at smut threading.

So, I know there aren't many League RPers, but the few I have seen either have meh icons (no offense, but some of the icons are the in-game model) or have less than 15. And that's a travesty.

I have over 2,500 pieces of LoL fanart on my computer. Yeah. I will make you icons or I will give you fanart with which you can do whatever you want. Right now, most if not all of my fanart is of the ladies of LoL. But, for example, I have fanart of Sejuani, Shyvana, Vi, Elise and, yes. Karma. I have Karma pics.

So reply here if you want some League icons (preferably for the ladies) and I will help you.

Has fan fiction ever messed up your perception of a character? You could bring up positive cases, but I think it's happening to me for the worse and I'm a little unnerved . Hopefully a canon review will straighten things out.

It made it possible for me to see a character I play as bisexual instead of purely straight, but I don't think that's a bad thing.

I do sometimes have to go back and canon review something if I've read too much fanfic at once, though. And I do think that at one point, the fanfic I was reading and writing made me too prone to turn a character I played (that's often a self-centered asshole) into a bit of a woobie.

so 'DW has no good layouts' is a thing that comes up here and on wg like, every other post or so, but I figure I'll get more real responses here. What about them do you hate? What kind of layouts do you like? Hell, link shit if you want. I'm just trying to figure out what to code to make more people happy.

my grandma just died after a seven month battle with lung cancer

we were very close, especially in the last few years

when my dad died of lung cancer i didn't really feel anything either, and with me at least i think it was because i'd done all my grieving while he was still alive. i've heard this is common among people who lose a loved one to chronic illness; they have a long time to come to terms with the eventual death so the impact isn't quite as great when it actually happens.

watched the first 25 episodes of Magi and i don't get the appeal at all. can someone explain why there's so many attached to this? it was just super boring to me. and a lot of characters crammed into it, or so it seemed after the introduction of sinbad's lackeys and that guy with the wooden hand or whatev. the art is okay tho... at least.
