huge modules, bold colors that clash, no organizing, hideous fonts

Organization is something getting worked on, hopefully to be up and running by July-ish.

I know a lot of the color themes are, uh, not to everyone's tastes to be polite about it - what sort of color schemes would be preferable? More neutrals/more monochrome/more white-with-accent-colors (I tend towards the last. Give me a nice white or near-white background for entries and sidebar and the rest of the layout can play with colors)

don't use light gray font on that shit. shit drives me fucking nuts. who ever thought that was a good idea? hint: it's not, it's completely fucking illegible and murder on my eyes.

personally, not a big fan of bright green or magenta or neon colors either. destiny strings sure looks nice for a few seconds, but after a while the searing colors are too loud and obnoxious for my tastes.

white or off-white or near-white for entries and sidebars + background color layout sounds fabulous tho anon, maybe with a dash of black borders depending on how dark or light the background is

what, you don't like living in a 10px font World Of Grey :')?

(I don't either actually - I can manage low-contrast but the combo of my glasses prescription and screen resolution means small fonts are my bane)

I'd kind of like to see some more grey mixes. White is really too light of a background for me, but a light or mid-tone grey would be nice. I'd be happy to have those accented with one or two colors a layout, but the big turn off for me in most of the layouts are the literally eye-searing color combinations. Pink and orange or colors that are so vibrant and at such a shade that it really makes looking at the layout painful.

Echoing above anon in asking for people to really try to match the font color to the background. Dark grey font on dark backgrounds is a terrible idea, just as light grey font on light backgrounds is a horrible idea. I'm a firm believer in font and background contrasting to make it easier to read. When I have to highlight a section of text to be able to see it, the layout has a problem.

I think most of the official ones tend to have decent contrast, but maybe a little too much reliance on BRIGHT COLORS on a lot of the layout. And the current (lack of) organization system means it's hard to find things that fit certain criteria.
