Happy Birthday

Rundown: [community profile] rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

Rules:

Do not post pornographic or shocking images.
Do not share private entries, plurks, chat logs, etc.
Do not use this community as your social/political/hatespeech soapbox.
Do not be redundant. One page does not need three or more threads on one topic/theme.
Do not treat this comm like your personal Plurk or Twitter. Off-topic happens, but it should be open for discussion and not just a play-by-play of your life. No one cares.

1. What's the game AC?
2. Is there a mod contact post? If so, where is it?
3. What exactly IS the overarching plot? Get home, some of the npcs being douchebags, solve mystery x, etc. Because, while I see a lot about the setting, I don't really see that much about the plot you mentioned.

  1. Game AC is two posts a month, or five comments from that month on any active thread. Sorry, I only realized last night I'd not posted that anywhere!

  2. There is not a mod contact post, but you can PM me with any questions you have.

  3. A lot of the plot for the game is written down but not posted yet, because depending on player onput and actions in-game, the plot may take several different paths.

The Cal Leandros cast will be starting the game in June to flesh out the plot a little better before we open it up to the public. You can certainly watch the comm to see if you like it or not. Thanks for your interest!

1 & 2: Gotcha!
3: Can we at least have a vague idea of what the plot might entail? Because I don't mean to be rude, but I'd like to at least know a little bit about the plot before I decide to reserve or not, as it may or may not be up my alley.

The plot intends to follow along the lines set in the books; i.e., serial challenges by various monsters. Something like a dungeon RPG, adventure, clues, boss battle at the end. There are plenty of elements in-series to give cause for action (the werewolf mafia, various gods and goddesses, mystical objects of power) and to add to that, the opening premise sets the game up to be able to use more real-world factors like political elements.

The "story thus far" sums up the start of the first of these serial plots and sets up the overarching plot. For the first month, June to July, the Cal Leandros cast will start gameplay and get the plot going. After that, in July, the gameplay opens to the general public and the plot will begin to change and the options shift as player influence begins to move it.

We intend to incorporate player plots for character, monsters or elements from character's home worlds, and we really, really enjoy and hope for lots of participation with our players. There will also be chances for slice-of-life plots, but they're not central to the game's main plot and will be left to the discretion of the players. (You might can guess the mods really like action. XD)

We'll be putting up a test-drive meme a little later in the week if you'd be interested. :3
