sooooo that's tricky! i had to think about it a lot before i started playing her. luckily it was in a private game setting so i had some flexibility, but now i'm apping somewhere bigger it's more dicey. imo the Dream would be one person playing asa and one person playing yoru trading off, but obviously the amount of communication etc would make that impractical.
to copy from my permissions post: my default for threads will be asa in control with yoru providing occasional commentary in her mind (aka in brackets). while it's not 100% true to canon, i try to keep yoru as opt-in as possible, since she's... Like That. basically playing asa 90% of the time and yoru 10%, but making sure yoru still feels present. here's a thread i did with the two of them in it; it's up to you if you want to do a 1/2 with separate tags for yoru and asa, or just have yoru's parts fully in brackets. i've done both! (if you know the other player is cool with it, definitely have them swap out mid-thread, it's funny as hell.)
if you're looking at a game, you also need to check the faq to see how they treat two personalities in the same body as far as appability goes. i know it's seeming more and more likely that either fight club theory/asa was the war devil all along OR them merging in the end will end up being true, but they are still separate characters right now, even if they're... well. literally inseparable.
it's definitely not something i ever thought about much before this lol, but there's a whole range: some games will treat them as only appable individually, some will treat yoru as a regain, and some will let you app them together. the game i'm apping to right now is the latter; while in the short-term i planned from the start to have asa be solo for a few weeks then regain yoru towards the end. just something to keep in mind if you have a strong preference! ofc in memes it's totally up to you: if you have a particular desire to play asa or yoru more, lean into that.
