Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for fictional character role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

So much of his idiot persona is wrapped up in specific circumstances. With Batman, his main goal and the purpose of the Batman identity is "let's stop crime," something that can be applied to a lot of games (even on Sex Island, there can be petty crime.)

But with Percy, he's the Scarlet Pimpernel for a reason that's tied up into specific circumstances. I haven't read all ten billion sequels, but you get the feeling that once the Reign of Terror is over, he won't have a need to keep up that double life. He's got an end date to the charade, unlike Batman or some of the trickster types who keep up the secret identity just to fuck with people. I could definitely see Sir Percy using that persona under specific circumstances: games where there's an all-powerful bad guy NPC who brought you there, oops we're all in a lab and the scientists are fucking with us, etc. But there's just as many games out there where there's no use to keep up that premise: games where you agree to join the magic jamjar, some flavors of Sex Island, let's all try not to die in the woods, etc.

His flavor of secret identity is one that I feel only makes sense in a certain type of game and I haven't found that yet.
