This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. lately i feel like you have to spend a lot of time gushing oocly about your characters through cr/plotting memes and the like in places like plurk to get any traction…and i don’t like it. you put in all that effort and still get only 10% of that back. i want to rp, put that energy into rping not freaking network to death

Nonnie I have recently tried a plurkless approach to my new game and I have better traction than ever. You have to be serious about hitting up monthly plotting and be proactive but it can be done.

don't do it if you don't like it. plenty of people don't use plurk and still get enough tags and cr. believe me, if you're just going along with it because you feel obligated it's probably very obvious (and offputting). nobody wants to hang out with someone who doesn't want to be there. set yourself free, anon!

nah i barely even look at my plurk or interact with anyone regarding rp there, mostly rl or fandom only

the answer is mostly to tag out and take note of which players always tag back, discard any flakes no matter how interesting their character seems

you'll get more traction and less frustration that way

you won't get a lot of rp by catering to people who spend all day gushing on plurk at each other tbh

i don't think this is true either.

plenty of active and outgoing players also babble on plurk, but so do plenty of flakes. plurk activity has very little predictive value either way.
