This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. i know people keep saying they'd love to play ships off an older character, but i'm Unsure about putting my new guy (in his 40s) out there.

it's silly, and i know it's silly to be nervous over. i just wanna ship my tortured ken doll, but it's already so hard to find someone to consistently write shippy stuff with when memes are hit or miss and it feels harder and harder to find a psl partner.

(i'm going to tl on memes or put up an ad here on rpanons soon-ish to shoot my shot, but i still feel screamingcat.gif about it.)

he's from a horror game and has some issues with some canon induced mental issues where he sometimes hallucinates or goes into some weird trances. but otherwise he's a nice guy. a little paranoid given the situation, super smart, willing to do the dangerous work others can't/won't to get everyone out of situations safe and sound.

ideally, someone who can be patient and understanding with him! fellow nerds are especially nice as well. but i'm flexible on it. i'm not sure he'd pair well with people who are more short-tempered or super religious though, just based on canon stuff.

Throwing my hat into the ring of interest as well! If you're open to M/M with him, I play an ambiguously early/mid 30s guy who's always the older half of ships, and I'm desperate to play him off someone he can be even a little bit younger than, just to switch things up. I will happily hit you up!

Generally speaking, though, I think older characters do just fine, so I hope you're pleasantly surprised when you put him up!

i'm all good with m/m! he's 43 - 47, depending on canon point, so i think he could definitely scratch that itch for you if you're open to a slower pace as far as their relationship progressing.

i don't see too many that are older than mid-30s-ish, so i can't speak from my own experience. but i hope i'm surprised too!

1. he's not ugly! he definitely looks better in the remake compared to the OG. he was designed to fit the 'everyman' image. i'll out myself when i say this, but his face is modeled after gunner wright.

2. we could make it work either way as long as we're not talking like 16-17yo. i say that mostly because the issues and stuff from his canon is pretty heavy, and i don't know if characters that age are equip to handle the level of trauma and issues he has.
