This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. I'm looking for canons with really interesting sibling dynamics. Close, distant, something majored happened to them, they were split and reconnected, etc.

Preferably with older characters, into their 20s (or older), or something that covers a range of years with them. They don't need to be the focus of the story, but I'd like something that digs deep into the siblings, or has the siblings as more of a focus than "cool older sister who sometimes says mean things" or such.

Any genre, any medium except video games, any gender combination.

Haunting of Hill House on Netflix. bears only a passing resemblance to the novel it's based on but deals heavily with shared family trauma and sibling dynamics. all the characters are well over 20.

Gravity Falls has a pair of twins in their 50s or 60s that play a major role in the story.

(There's also a younger pair of twins that are the main characters, but they're kids.)

succession is a great show for this. it focuses on four siblings from a wealthy family, all of them 30+, and their dynamics as they fight for their father's company and his approval

Home Economics is about three different siblings from different financial situations in their adult age. Oldest brother is a middle class struggling author with a wife and kids, middle child is a struggling child therapist who has adopted kids with her wife, and the youngest son is super well off with a private equity firm and is divorced with one kid. The entire show is about their relationships with one another and their family. It's comedic but has a lot of really good moments! Three seasons, complete.

if you haven't watched it This is Us is very largely based on the sibling dynamic of the triplets and spans decades of their lives. imo not a lot of RP potential if that's what you're looking for, but the show itself is a good watch.

Final Fantasy XVI

It’s hard to pitch this without spoiling anything, but the main character is a protective older brother and the younger brother is a sweet patoot. Things happen to them. There’s angst and heart ache.

The main characters are in late twenties, so it’s all adults, although you do get some flashbacks to when they’re younger. The game doesn’t go light on swearing, which is refreshing.
