not everyone can tag all day whenever they want......if anything ppl with that luxury are probably in the minority, esp nowadays in this aging playerbase. much weirder of them to assume otherwise tbh

I wasn't able to do this even back when I was a teenager in college who could stay up all night cause I had classes to go to. The idea this person's rp partner seems to have that you can just sit around all day every day ready to tag at a moment's notice seems.....weird and makes them seem an eternal NEET who is out of touch with reality, especially given the majority of people here have jobs, school, are caretakers for aging family members, have kids, have disabilities, or some combo of all of the above.

i'm assuming an alternative scenario is that the person doesn't have a scheduled time to tag and just tags when available, so they find the idea of having a fixed time to do it weird.

either way it's them that is weird, not op

I definitely have to do this because if there's a thread I'm really into, I'll keep putting off doing other things because "what if I miss a tag" syndrome.

Giving myself a window of time to tag really keeps the FOMO under control and the productivity up.

i do it not because i have a job (currently unemployed) but because my adhd benefits from setting habits. so if i tell my brain okay from 9PM and on it's RP time, i get way more shit done in that single hour of tags than the all day grazing approach (reply as they come)

I don't really because spare time and motivation come and go unpredictably, but it's not weird. Either is fine, what sucks is when people get petty about it.

i don't, but i've learned the rhythms of my rp partners by heart. sometimes they jumpscare me outside of their usual tagging times and that is the only time i'm like "weird!" because some people are so systematically on schedule that a deviation stands out.

otherwise i think nothing of it.
