This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. deer country. i love bloodborne and the game added its own features to build on the setting and make it weirdly charming and lived in despite all the literal horrors and bloodbeasts.

The Deer games had a lot wrong with them (I've never encountered more "people playing with puppies and baking cupcakes in the apocalypse" kind of vibes from a certain contingent of players in all the many horror games I've played in), but when they got it right, MAN it hit that sweet spot. Like you said, the settings really felt lived in, I got to just brutally torture my characters in a way that never got old, and the CR I got from all the eclectic kind of characters there was awesome. Even the NPCs hit a good balance between all powerful gods running the setting and characters you could actually interact with.

It was sad to see it close up shop in such an abrupt fashion, so I was glad I could join Folkmore once I was done mourning, since it has a lot of the same kind of detailed worldbuilding and events with a lot of wriggle room, even if the general vibes of the game are completely different.
