This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Subsequent threads made to bypass a freeze will then be deleted.

My goals:
- being more consistent with my tags, which means better understanding my limits and keeping to those (my goal is for nothing to sit longer than a week)
- reading more so I can improve my writing overall
- focusing on consistency and plotting for character growth and arcs (while still allowing myself freedom for one offs and silliness)

keep trying to find a psl partner who will stick around. ideally kind of soon because i'm worried that after the canon in question finishes it'll be even harder to find someone to play with.

No joining new games. I am at my absolute LIMIT with the amount of games and characters I have in them, so no matter what I see that's in my favorite genre (horror), I am NOT joining the new shiny even if I wish them great success!

i want to spend less time concerning myself with people who claim to want cr or threads with me but don't actually tag or write starters. if you say "i want things!" but can't be bothered to write the tags, i'm not going to waste my time chasing you any more.

My first resolution is stop worrying about my tags, i.e. being a perfectionist, and just have fun. It was drilled to my head years ago that I need to be “perfect” or risk being made fun of on various platforms. I want to undo that harmful kind of thinking and focus on the fun aspect of roleplaying.

Two, I want to follow through with my commitments in roleplay and not get choked up on this ridiculous need for perfection. I get scared that other roleplayers hate my writing and run off hiding.

It may have been said before, or here already, but I'm going to try not worrying about people who agree to threads/claim they're ota, and then never tag back when I give them a starter. Because they're probably overwhelmed with tags they already had or changed their mind.

I'm going to try to remember playing a character that isn't the new hotness, popular or well known most of all, that people rarely want to play with someone they don't know and only want to hang with their friends, which sucks, but not much you can do about it since no one is entitled to play with you even if you want to play with them.

I'm also going to remember that probably a lot of people just top level and then never look at the memes again unless THEY get tagged, so I shouldn't get too fussed about it.

Teal Deer: My New Years Resolution is to just tag out, try to have fun, and give no fucks and move on if people ghost or ignore my tags. (That's the hardest part lol)

Is anyone else's desktop plurk timeline jacked up right now? The alignment of individual plurks is off, they're displayed out of order, and plurks from the same hour are all jumbled on top of one another. I'm not sure if it's my ad blocker, my custom code, the firefox update, or server issues.
