You might want to take a step back if you're taking the busiest time of the year for most as holding your cr hostage. What are the ransom demands, nonny?

we're going into the busiest and most stressful time of the year, especially for retail workers. Chill the fuck out lol

ehhhh they didn't say this was a recent development, though. feels like a read in bad faith to assume it's only a symptom of the season when the 'keep' implies it's a long-term thing.

that said, op, your rp partners are clearly not a good match for you speed-wise. that's statistically unlikely to change, because both flaking and adverse rl circumstances are pretty chronic. your best bet is focusing your energy on people who more closely suit your needs.

yeah, tbh i find speed differences (on whichever end of the spectrum you find yourself) end up being pretty unsurmountable, same as writing styles you don't mesh with. no one's fault, but it will continue being a bone of frustration. the unfortunate thing is, people always overestimate their availability, so sometimes they're committing with the best intentions in the world - and then they surprise themselves (but increasingly, not their thread partners) by falling short.

not everyone on DW works retail

it's a busy and stressful time of year even if you don't work retail? people have lives and things tend to happen involving family and holiday stuff around the end of the year? your work may be impacted by the time of the year even if it's not about the shopping season?

in our meeting at work this morning (which is not retail!) we just adjusted our planning for the next two months to accomodate people taking time off, including our clients taking time off, meaning things might get busier!

a lot of people i know (myself included) also have a really bad time between november and january because this is a rough mental health time of year

that's a lot of justifications for a bad faith take when OP had the keyword "keep" in their original complaint.

as in.

their partner has been doing this for a while and it's not something that just started this month. op's patience just happened to have worn out at a stressful time of the year probably because it is stressful and they're tired of having schrodinger's cr.

yeah i don't work retail, i work for a non-profit but this is absolutely our busiest time of year since we have a couple of major events coming up + we have big giving campaigns to try to get people to donate before the end of the year. add in the fact that a lot of people want time off for the holidays and things get pretty hectic through nov-dec for us.

it's already insane if you work healthcare so maybe can it

why is writing fanfic about other anons comments such a popular hobby here

right? maybe that fic time should be applied to their inboxes instead…
