that's rad, i love concept art! congrats on the book and your blorbo making it in!

even if someone is actually a decent writer in a DWRP context, writing for a game premise is pretty different. dwrp is entirely character-focused prose, the world around the characters is often just sort of a grey mess. you rarely see any writing about the environment around the characters past the first couple tags. thats just sort of the style. game premises and such require a lot of that kind of writing to establish the mood. if someone only does dwrp as 'writing practice' then they're never gonna develop that skillset.

dwrp isn't so great for writing practice, too. the seeming consensus on what counts for "good" writing around here is stream-of-consciousness journalling with fandom character names attached, and that's not very entertaining to read, let alone reply to.

rewatching ATLA has reminded me that while you can definitely enjoy zutara more than kataang if you want, if you ever watched this show and thought zutara was the real endgame canon? you have terminally bad reading comprehension i'm so sorry to say.

oooo well! i think the magic is in the introspection. like you can really feel how the characters feel for one another and how raw the attraction is on more levels than just sexual. and the tension is so good i'm on the edge of my seat, haha.

RP partner keeps wanting to write new ships but every time I write a starter, they ignore it, and if I bring it up or remind them, they just keep telling me they'll get to it, and weeks go by. And then I notice them boomeranging meme threads with the character(s) in question, so I'm not sure what to think.

We have a psl that's been going on for a year and a half and gets tagged a few times a week at least, so we're rping together pretty consistently. So it's not that we aren't rping, and I don't need to be the one they boomerang threads with; I don't care about that. It just feels bad when I keep getting ignored with these new characters & ships, y'know? Especially after putting in the energy to do these starters that keep getting ignored.
