Why not just do a whole jamjar setting-ish thing so you can hide the canon blindness?

There aren't really a lot of jamjar-ish memes, though, and only a handful of them ever get any significant action. It seems like the vast majority of non-TFLN memes are either shipping/smut focused or the kind of gen that would work best with a little assumed CR or shared background (even if it's as simple as "both of these characters are university students.") When there are 100 characters on a meme I'm probably not going to check each journal for character info that may or may not be there.

I'd kinda like to see a crosscanon-specific version of the random scenario meme or AU meme where you have to put a 1-2 sentence description of your character in the top level.

and you nailed it right on the head. i don't know 99% of these characters, and on the odd chance i do know them - i just don't know how to smash my character up against them. it's hard to assume cr when you literally have no info other than a 100x100 icon and i don't have the time to google every name on a meme just to find out who to play against.

i'd fucking love to see crosscanon memes, au memes or jamjar memes but none of them seem to ever get any traction. i'm so tired of trying so fucking hard to have fun. i want to tag out, i really do, but i don't want to have to study your character to figure out where to start.
