Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. don't glorify it or make him all about the assault, but don't minimize it, because a lot of an app is how the player sees the character as well as their characterization. acknowledge it, mention that it happened, point out that they'll be coming in pre-that event, but also be very clear you're willing to put up an opt out post (which you should be okay with doing just in case) and that's about it. be clear it's a thing, but don't woobify him. if he did an assault, he did it. the whys behind it don't matter (and a lot of people take any 'why' as apologist behavior, which is sort of is, even if it's fiction because we all have a hard time separating ic/ooc when it comes to things that we might have encountered irl) but your ability to acknowledge it as a thing and to prepare for people who don't want to play with that character are a big consideration.
