even if they just keep tagging you then just, you know, ignore their tags like every person in bakerstreet when they get replies they aren't interested in. or here is a crazy idea: tag out instead of top leveling! wow! also why would anyone think that nothing would happen when there are two posts pinned from the mods??? it takes you two seconds to check the report post and see that they do ban creeps

avoiding an entire community, the primary community for non-game based RP on this website even, because of one rando you don't like tagged you once or twice is not normal.

like the other anon asked, the hell do you think the "known wanker" is going to do? if they ignore your request, the bakerstreet mods will, 100%, ban them from the comm. and if they send you PMs, you can block them. there is literally no danger of any sustained issues here.

i mean i'm 100% in favor of communicating issues, but i don't blame anyone for being hesitant when dealing with known wankers. you can stop someone from threading with you and they can't doxx you without personal information, but they can absolutely go on a crusade to ruin your reputation. they can badmouth you to all their friends who'll take it at face value because a friend said so, they can smear you on anoncomms or tell complain about you to mods, they can fake deets if people aren't blindly running with their shittalking. even if it all amounts to nothing because they don't actually have anything to use against you, it's stressful to deal with and you're left always wondering if anyone did assume the worst about you because they only saw bits and pieces of the bullshit. it's just objectively not true to argue that no one can cause you any longterm trouble if you just tell someone to leave you alone and block them.

1. if they truly are "known wankers" then people are gonna believe you, not them. that's why they are "known wankers" in the first place.

2. you can still tag around bakerstreet and not top level, or simply ignore the tag like everyone else literally does all the time because it's just a meme.

you are seriously being paranoid if you think any of this is more likely to happen than "oh okay" and the other player moping about it for a minute before moving on.

there are dramamongers out there but assuming everyone is one is just going to make your rp life needlessly complicated. more often than not people back off when asked.
