Rundown: rpanons is an anonymous community for role-play related topics. This place serves as a forum for game discussions, canon discussions, RP solicitations (ATP, game ads, open memes), and advice. The occasional off topic comment is inevitable, but please keep heated social and political topics to their respective communities. Posting them here will only get them frozen. Are people dropping your threads? Maybe try looking around and seeing who's been tagging consistently and try to start something with them?

I've hit an unexpected busy period at work, but I'm trying to tag more frequently once I am able so that threads with my character hit a decent length for use as samples.

I'm just eyeballing and might probably be off in my estimation; it seems to me that threads from pages 3 and 4 are still getting play, while top levels on the first 2 pages already have had so many takers that it wouldn't surprise me if the players are cautious when tagging out in order to keep their tag load manageable.

then tag out yourself. people may not know your character or your canon. and like you said, there's plenty of stuff in the meme still getting play.

don't assume anyone's tag load is too much, but if you're worried about it, you can always pm and ask them before tagging. yes, some people earlier in the meme may not be tagging out farther back, but you're not going to know unless you try. tagging out works both ways, if there's some kind of interaction you want, go after it.

that sounds good in theory, but one of the reasons i haven't is because it's a tdm and i don't want to swamp whoever's actually being active with more threads because i want one. that's what's kept me from tagging the people i've been interested in while my own top level is pretty much ignored.

if they're being active, they're not struggling with the threads they have. if you don't make an effort to tag out, you'll never know. there are tons of reasons your top level could go ignored that have nothing to do with people not wanting to play with you; most people don't have time to read every single top level and just read whatever characters that they know or look interesting from a glance.

they're on the tdm because they want to tag people, don't forget that. seriously, just go for it. if they really wanted to cap their number of threads, they would say something.

like the anon above said, if you're really that worried you can always pm someone to ask if they're too overwhelmed for more. otherwise, i say just go for it! do several tag outs in case someone doesn't happen to respond but definitely give people a chance.
